That's great if you only buy Ghostbusters.. but I get MOTU too (which is why Im not getting Egon yet..). But also, if you did these in waves, how would you extend these past a year? You do a figure pack a month or every other, allows the line to go on for a while. Yes you have to wait but why is waiting such a bad thing? People are getting spoiled wanting everything ASAP.

yeah i get what you mean mate, i dont mind waiting really, its jst the time spread between each one. if there was 1 every month that wud be cool. so the excitment of the next months fig would still be there.

I caved and got 2 Egons. Despite my reservations, I am a hardcore Ghostbusters fan, and it is better to be safe than sorry I guess. He will go nice with my Minimates.

glad to hear ugot him dude!!! yeah better to be safe, at least u got him now.

and iim awaiting my sdcc minimates to come from kuzeh, i still need to get the tru sets, will have toget em off ebay.

mine's still in processing, but I'm in no rush. I doubt I'll open him until I get them all anyway. No point in having just Egon displayed. If it was Venkman, then yeah, but not just Egon:lol

I got my order in for one Egon with Slimer. I see that the packaging is easy to open and close. That's a good thing since I will display Egon with the other three Ghostbusters once I get them all from MattyCollector. Egon SHOULD have come with a PKE Meter, not Slimer. Venkman should have got Slimer, since he got slimed by him in the first movie anyway.

Still I am going to buy all of the 6" and 12" figures from Mattel. :D

It was supposed to be slimed Venkman in the first place, but they couldn't get the likeness approved in time.

So they said.

Yeah, I don't doubt it that Bill Murray held out to be the last actor to give permission to use his likeness. If he would have given the word first, then the SDCC 09 exclusive would have been a "slimed" Peter Venkman with Slimer like it SHOULD have been. But at least he finally signed on so we'll eventually get an accurate likeness of Venkman once Mattel releases it. :D

They should include the PKE meter in with another figure so we can at least have a proper display with everyone once the team is completed, if they're being so vague and indeterminate on when they might get around to Egon again. Why not toss in a tiny quarter ounce piece of plastic in with Winston and his measly trap accessory?

im jst hoping the 12" figures are released on time! i jst have a gut feeling there will be a delay in the 12" ray in acouple of weeks.

Just got the 6 inch egon the detail for its size is quite good, the articulation is a definite plus so yeah happy enough with this line of gb figures i.e the 6 inch version. Its great they are also doing some peripheral figures from the film such as the walter peck figure also.

The 12 inch figures though whole different story much as i love ghostbusters and this is what looks like the best line to ever be released theres too much wrong with them. Up close they look ridiculous, from the bobble head face sculpts looking worse then a mattel ken doll ( i mean look at ray lol he looks nothing like dan akryod), to the clothing being way oversized. Ray and Peter have this strange happy look on their face like they are high on something. The egon figures sculpt looks like he aged about 30 years. The only one that comes remotely close to the character in the film is the winston zeddemore sculpt.

The original promo shots of the upscaled 6 inch figures they showed at comic con new york. Why couldn't they have stuck with them? I guess obviously production costs made them think otherwise and what we get is a lame substitute. Unfortunately there's just too much wrong with the 12 inch figures for me to even consider getting them... gonna give them a miss. I just couldn't have those things on my shelfs and take them seriously. If only ht had gotten the gb license and not mattel im sure there would have been some great 12 inch figures produced.

Yeah, I don't see any argument against just using the 2-up Four Horseman sculpts for the 12" heads. I mean, I guess it'd be nice to have different, unique looks for the 6 and 12" and not feel like they were just recycling things, but recycled heads would be a lot better than crappy heads. At least we can use Spenser's great heads though.

Received my Egon here in the UK today, can't wait for them to release the next one.

Here he is with my Neca StayPuft

Hmmm... maybe I should rethink passing on the smaller scale line?
