it someone is feeling REALLY crazy, they should sew a zipper on the side of each booth. Then we will have 100% accurate ones! I cant imagine that being an easy task though...

Just a quick question, i'm in the uk and ordered 12in ray stantz about 3 weeks ago and still no sign of him, is this normal for mattel? I've ordered stuff from hong kong quite a lot and usually that takes about a week to get here. Just curious, as if it's taken this long to get here maybe he's gone missing in transit? I dunno....any help would be appreciated.

same for me, actually 4 weeks ago today! no sign, but i have kept an eye on these forums and am hoping its just mattel taking their sweet time with it!

cant wait for the 6 inch winston with trap, and im happy that ive been able to successfully add gloves to the 6 inch ray and egon, looks 10000 times better then the ungloved hands.

ideal my 12" ray has finally came, £18.96 customs charge attached! glad i saved some money over, the time it takes to get to me i'd expect not to pay anything extra!

i had to pay custom charges too, i dont really see why tho to be honest. it ends up added quite a bit to the figure. Im kinda glad im not the only one who had to pay but it still sucks!

i really like this figure, but jesus crist the joints are tight! i dont like how loose the boots are on the feet but overall it was deffo worth the money i paid for it! took ages to get into the packaging, someone at matty went crazy with the stick tape i think!

Got my 1/6 Ray today...I don't know who post this items for Matty but they should be beaten up to a pulp...The moron over values the fig at $100 in the value declaration. So when it arrives at the post office custom people have a heyday taxing us. I was lucky I wasn't tax but man it will be hard to escape it for the next 3 figures. Isn't this mail or insurance fraud on their part? Stupid mofos. Can we do something about it?

Matty FAQ ...I live outside the US. Do I have to pay customs fees?

Matty Answers...If you live outside the United States, custom and tariff fees may apply according to your country's import laws. These fees are not collected by this company, and this company does not have control of these fees.

My rebuttal... Yes you do, you morons, declare it actual value and not $40 more.

Curious...what was the shipping charge? Just wondering if they claimed the shipping charge as part of the item's value? It shouldn't be done that way, but just a thought.

heres a little altered pic i did for fun

wish mattel would make some proton streams!

Shipping is charged separately, and should not factor into the declared value of the item. In Canada, it was $8.95 for shipping, and yet they declared the figure had an $80 value. Even including shipping, it shouldn't have been more than $70.

And as I mentioned in an earlier post, $60 is usually the amount under which the Post Office doesn't charge any duty fees, so declaring the figure's actual value of $60 would have saved me over $16 in customs.

$15. It was separate. They just overvalued and declared it at $100:banghead:banghead

you guys think thats bad but i got charged 30 euro for the 1st ray figure that arrived which is equivalent to about 45 dollars from UPS. So i paid for the figure then got hit with a charge nearly equal to the figure just on customs.

I swear these guys must be making up these customs charges themselves sometimes lol.

But that the price we pay(literally) to get the figures we love. Needless to say I won't be using UPS again. Id rather wait then get hit with charges like that.
