What kinda crap is THIS? It’s garbage like THIS that’s holding up my complete 12? Fellowship of the Ring, isn’t it? Where’s my 12? slave Leia? Where’s my 12? Bespin fatigues Luke? I what to know why the hell I have to wait on my 12? ANH fried & dead Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru!! Is it because of THIS unposeable heap of porn????!!?!?! You guys are USELESS!!!

The outcry over the MJ statue is absolutely ridiculous!!! I can only shake my head and wonder why these people don't focus their time and energy on something that truly matters. Surely there are injustices out there that they could fight for......but this??? A statue???? Please. If people really think that this statue is sexist, they are delusional. I am now signing up for the waitlist on this very fine piece of art.....I congratulate AH and Sideshow on producing art that is first rate and a great depiction of a comic book character. When I first saw pictures of this piece, I did not think it was degrading having a women, barefoot with her ****s hanging out washing her man's laundry. I saw it as a beautiful woman who loves her man and just happens to be washing his spidey suit. Hell, I would wash my man's laundry if it needed to be done because he was busy out saving the world from evil. I just do not see how that can be construed as sexist.....she's being supportive and helpful to the man she loves...what is wrong with that. Plus it's a friggin statue for crying out loud!!!!

Jen, to show your support for this statue, I think that the most logical thing to do is to take a 100% statue accurate picture of yourself.

I can send you my Spidey pj's to use in the pic:rock

I think I'm gonna hold out for the broom and dustpan exclusive on this one. :lol Or perhaps the diorama where she's slaving over a hot stove and nursing a baby Spider-Man at the same time. Lactating Mary Jane VS The Hot Stove.

You girls are a hoot! I enjoy reading your comments! Women against a silly feminist movement over a statue of all things. Don't they have bigger issues or concerns within their own respective families rather than to waste their time, anger, and efforts on how a woman is protrayed in statue form that is geared towards the young adult male crowd?

The only way kids could see this if it was made public on a much larger scale, and gee, thanks gals, with those complaints you made a statue that was only known within the geek collector community now is on pretty much every television set, where little Billy and Kimmy can see her in her explicit sexual nature. Something that could have gone unnoticed to the younger crowd had a bunch of crybabies not harp about it in the first place.

I only go on about the kid factor because it was apparently brought up. How this statue will give the wrong opinions of the female through the eyes of a child. Well now those children will not only read it in the paper, but also see it on the TV.

you should post that on that woman's blog that started all this.....you are so right about how their protest has made this piece visible to a whole new crowd that probably would never have known it exsisted. However, they are probably media whores and love the attention.

Damn. MJ is looking better and better. And I would definitely buy the spidey-in-thong statue just to be fair.

I better not have my conversion chances eliminated because of these dang women! Just breathe in and relax. thump.... thump... thump..thump..thump.thump.thump.thump.thu.thu.thu.thu.thu...

I CAN'T TAKE IT!!!! RAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!

Just kidding.

Seriously though, lets use some common sense here. Don't preach how you don't want the wee little ones or even other outside factors to acknowledge this piece, and bring such knowledge forth to the media which will only further exploit this.

Really, for the feminist movement out there, how is this really bad on a large scope? Obviously they haven't seen a lot of the other toy licenses out there. This is very tame and innocent by some of the other things available on the market.

Shutup Eli26! What? *ahem* Sorry, I'm having a conversation with myself. What's that? Why are you telling me to shutup Eli26? Because you're letting these individuals know of other possible lines that possess much more racier featured items. Ahhhh. I see. I see. Okay, I mean, yeah, I never heard of a toy that showed a woman or man figure with exposed skin. In fact, there is no such thing as a toy line out there that has so much as a little ankle showing. We're in the year 1850 right? Can't bare those ankles people! That would be against what's right and decent? And what's not right, is clearly wrong. And we can't have that, now can we?

No we can not.

Well put and sooooo very true. I've been grinding my teef about this all night long. Would they be happier if she was out of shape and had a muffin top popping out of her jeans and granny panties peeking out the back? Is this what it's come to - let's not offend the slovenly and make them jealous with cheeky depictions of female comic characters? Because I cannot even pretend to know what drives that sort of behavior - to get sooo offended and insanely jealous over a got'damn statue and then call it degrading to women. Who knew the oppressive nature of laundry...?

I find it more degrading when a bunch of cranky women band together to form one shrill voice and start yipping about something so petty and end up making the more evolved women look like idiots. I hate being guilty by gender association, dammit!

You know what really makes me laugh? Here we have the feminist movement that is complaining about this whole statue deal, and here we're complaining right back at them. It's a vicious ongoing cycle!

Yeah, but we're complaining among ourselves. We're now chasing them down on their feminist forums and slamming their causes, merchandise, and special interests. That blog was like a Lillith Fair gone horribly wrong.

LMFAO

You almost made me wet my pants with the "Lillith Fair gone horribly wrong" comment, and that would have sucked.
