I was with a girl last night. We had a sleep over. Hmmm, lets see... discuss the Pens game or enjoy the night with a lil' hottie... hmmm.... Tough one. But that was last night. This is now.
I have to pick on our dear friend Valfar, because he makes some pretty bogus, okay,
"very bold predictions". One that stuck out... Steven Stamkos being better than Evgeni Malkin, even though Malkin has won a plethora of individual and team awards. Career point-per-game averages and what each player has done this season... yeah, I rest my case. Then he said it should be easy for Stamkos to win the Art Ross. Well, guess what Malkin has an 11 point lead on the scoring race, in seven less games than his Golden Ontario Boy. 1.44 points-per-game average to Stamkos' 1.15. Not even close. Malkin is also now tied with Stamkos for goals per game at 0.68. And now with Geno closing in on the goal count with just 5 behind your boy, it's looking like the Rocket Richard could potentially go to No. 71 as well. I doubt it, but with the way the two have been playing, it's definitely in the realm of possibility.
And James "THE REAL DEAL" Neal! What more can be said about him? 16 points in his past 6 games. Top 5 in NHL scoring after tonight's 4 primary assists. Speaking of primary assists, how good is Evgeni Malkin? 42 of his 50 assists this season are primary. Booyeah!
And Marc-Andre Fleury with 29 saves on 30 Nashville shots, pulling him in the NHL lead for wins this season with 40! Now the Pens are 25-4-2 in their past 31 games. Lead the league with 244 goals and are just points away from claiming 1st overall in the standings! Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang are not only back, but producing at a huge clip! It's no wonder we discuss the Pittsburgh Penguins so much in this thread!
