What are you trying to gain with that Gull dang statement you damn ____! By ____, I mean human my new pops! How's the kiddo?

She is not doing so good this week. :(

I'm off work tomorrow to care for her. Thanks for asking though! She's a happy little girl. Just under the weather.

Uh huh. A 12 game win streak (which was the longest last season) with 5 out of their top 9 out for most of it, and at least 4 out for the entire period makes it the greatest by that default alone. To suggest otherwise is silly. Dan Blysma won the Jack Adams because he got his team to believe they could win despite the fact they pretty much lost nearly two thirds of their top 9. That would destroy most teams. In fact, the most productive forward line during that run was the Rupp/Adams/Asham line. Now that says something when those three become your most productive line. lol

Totally subjective.
I believe the Flyers hold the record with a 3 something game win streak from the 70's which blows the Pens win streak out of the water.
The Devils had a win streak in 05-06 that took them from a playoff bubble team to winning the Atlantic which was like 15 or 16 games which either tied or came close to a similar win streak your Pens had riding into the playoffs in the mid-90's.
Mike Rupp had 17 pts. in 81 games last year which while high for him wasn't as high as in 09-10 when he had 19 pts.
Asham had 11 pts. last year which is actually the least amount of points he had since 07-08
And Craig Adams had 15 points which was the most he had since 06-07 however, he didn't play a full 82 game season except 10-11,09-10 and yup, 06-07.
Don't act like Dan Bylsma was some sort of Burgess Meridith with a Rocky-like team.
Marc-Andre Fleury had his best GAA with 2.32 last year and a solid sv percentage of .918.
Don't forget you guys had Staal, Crosby and Malkin in your lineup for half the season and the Pens took off in the beginning of the season.
Let's not mention that the Pens defense was solid all last year and they also lead the league in a PK headed up by Kris Letang who had a career season in 10-11.
In addition the Pens still had guys like Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis and Tyler(Pigman) Kennedy who all had very strong seasons.

I love Pens fans. They just have no clue.:cuckoo:

LOL Concerning Cammalleri being pulled half-way in, I just saw that. btw Read his comments concerning the team? Ouch, I have not seen a player pulled out half-way through a game due to a trade. Hilarious! No wonder he's furious at Montreal. He got spanked!

What I know about Rene Bourque with nobody telling me, but the wisdom that comes from my BRAIN!

Huge powerful slapper. I remember he won the hardest shot contest at the AHL All-Star Skills competition. Something like 104 MPH. Don't quote me as I believe that number to be incorrect. But he did win it. He also won the AHL Rookie of the Year honors and is a special teams player. Good skater with lethal shot. He'll be used on both the PP and penalty kill. He's got a mean streak. Very aggressive. Speaking of streaks, he's very streaky. Last season, he scored 20 points in his first 20 games then followed that up with 5 points in his next 20 games. I should know! I have owned him for 3 years in a fantasy league. It's ARGH Awwwooooga frustrating!

You clearly are the one who who has no clue by that post.

Wow, check the amount of games the 3 big centermen played and ummm yeah, during that big 12 game win streak Rupp/Adams/Asham were the most productive line. It sure wasn't our top line of Neal/Letestu/Kovalev. During that important streak, we had no Malkin and Crosby. So why bring that ____ up? Like really?! And who cares what the Devils did in 95/96... which btw they failed to make the playoffs that year. Didn't look that up. I remember. Team goes from Cup Champs to hitting the Green the following year. Either way, freaking irrelevant much?! It wasn't just Fleury, it was our stingy defence. The best D in the entire league when at full health. Top shot blocker in Michalek, physical monster dman last season in Orpik, puck movers like Letang and Martin. Not many teams, if any, aside from the Pens could pull off what Blysma did with 5 of his top 9 out of the lineup. Also, we had some solid production out of our bottom six guys. But yeah, I have no clue.

Ask any Pens fan on the HF forums and they'll laugh you off the boards. Geeit real.

I would expect a hack like you being on the HF forums.
You're basically making my point. A combination of great defense and goaltending got you guys the 12 game win streak not a pep talk to a bunch of 4th line goons.
I never brought up the 95/96 Devils. I brought up the 05-06 Devils and it takes a lot of balls to throw that in my fave since the Pens are the poster child for the term "tank".
The Devils went from worst in the league to a bubble playoff team last year with something like a 25-3 record or some such like that.
The intent of my original post was to point out that maybe the Pens had the longest win streak last season, but greatest is a huge overstatement.
The reason the Pens got into the playoffs had a lot to do with the fact that they got a good start to the season before all the injuries.
They pretty much flamed out in the post season.

I am talking longest win streak and the accomplishment coming from a 4 and yes at one point, 5 (yes, 5 players) removed from the top 9. And how am I a hack? It's common knowledge if you watched the Pens games (which I doubt you did Mr. Incredible) they were the best line during that span. They picked up assignments. Played physical, under your skin and in your face hockey. They contributed on the scoresheet from time to time and did more as a forward line for that team (during that win streak) than any other line Blysma put together. It's fact. Not subjection.

And I'll have you know, there are a lot of highly educated hockey enthusiasts who post on the HF forums. And fine, the 05/06 Devils, who gives a flying ____... I was talking about the Pens and the NHL's longest win streak from last season. Jesus. Get off your damn team!

And I am a Devils fan. Going to see them this Saturday against my Jets Mr. Incredible. Hopefully Marty starts. Anyway, have a good night.

we were so close last night but he turtled up quickly

only in Montreal would they trade a player halfway through the game

:lol Yep. Anyone see Subban get dragged around after he immediately turtled last night? What a _____.

That hit is bull____. He did that exact same hit the other night against the Blues. He skates backwards and nails guys into the boards. I don't like it cuz it looks like he leaves his feet, but the announcers were all praising it as a clean hit.

The guy is just a big goon. He acts like he wants to be an enfocer but he doesn't have what it takes. He belongs playing NHL 12 on the xbox( or whatever it is kids play today) and talking trash to other 8 year olds.
