I'd be so stoked if we got Ryan or even Getzlaf (or dare I say Perry) ;):lol

Any of those players (and even if we got JVR) would greatly help the team in the offense category. Last night is an example of how bad we need tougher offense.

Pffft.... Screw that. You can have Jonas Hiller if you really want a Duck.

Hi Ringer!

So I hear my favorite active player Pronger might be gone for the season.
Say it ain't so. Is there something we dont know anout this injury?
And, when did Hartnell get so good?

I'm betting the Habs now regret not picking Jagr when they had the chance...
However, they do still have top notch players Kaberle, Gomez, Nokelainen, Gill, Campoli, and Kotstisyn.
You just can't beat this kind of stellar scouting.

Yup no more Pronger until possibly the playoffs(If they get in).

Hartnell is def a changed player IMO, that top Giroux,Hartsy, Jagr line is insane.

Way to go Fleury. Way to blow a 3-0 lead in the third period. Hope to see you on waivers soon.:wave

He's been to the finals twice, and won a cup. He isn't going anywhere until we se a major breakdown in the playoffs.
Everyone has bad games during the season, don't you think?

I don't know why everyone uses the "Won a cup" defense for Fleury. Lots of goal tenders win cups. In fact 1-2 goal tenders win a cup every year. Does that mean they are good?? Does that mean they should get giant contracts?? I think not. Some just get lucky. It seems that if the Pens defense doesn't keep the opponents shot numbers down, then Fleury usually lets in 3+ goals. Usually glove side. It's sickening. No goal tender should get more than a 2 year contract IMO. Look at Philly with Bryzgalov. 9 Years?? Good luck with that.

I totally agree on limiting contracts to 5 years or less as it appears 99% of long term contracts of 6 years or more end up burning team owners at the end. I can't see players enjoying being ripped by the fans and press on a daily basis because of the contracts too. Agents couldn't care less what their players are put through otherwise they wouldn't feel the need to push these nightmare deals....

As for Fleury, whether people like him or not, he is a winner. Most players who have been to the big show can't wait to get back there again. Before throwing him under the bus, I'd give him another shot. It's easy to dump on a goalie or coach when a team is losing. The Letang injury has been huge too. I'm saying this and I'm not even a Pens fan. Also, it's quite possible the Pens have been overachieving for a while. Teir numbers have been surprising lots of people. Anyway, things have a way of evening out over a season's play. I'm betting we'll see Crosby soon.

The Bruins still appear to be the team to beat. And, the Blues looked awesome against the Habs last week. Bruins play the Blues on Feb 22. It should be a very innnnerestin' game.

Habs leading the Rangers 4-1 going into the third. I might need to get my eyes checked as it appeared Blunden looked good on a line with Gomez. In case anyone is keeping track, Gomez hasn't scored a goal in 43 games.

Torts wont be happy with the effort tonight

Patches line has 9 points...maybe ditching Cammy is just what they needed, who knows

This is to funny, just shows how dumb some people in Quebec really are

The best thing for the Habs would be for the Nordiques to come back. The prospective ownership group would be more than happy to be Québécois to max for the whole province.

After seeing that video, Je suis embarrassé pour être Québécois.

We'll trade you Cam Janssen and Eric Boulton for Fleury.:yess:

I'm definitely rooting for the Habs tonight! So sick of everyone blowing the Rangers this season.

The problem is there really isn't any decent GT that we could trade him for. Nobody is gonna give up a decent starter for him. But i wouldn't mind seeing either of the Blues GTs in his place right now. At least I've seen both of them absolutely rob somebody with their gloves.

I wouldn't be too quick to throw in the towel on Fleury. You've got a really good tandem in him and Brent Johnson.

A language barrier takes precedence over bridges falling apart?

As a Montrealer, I cannot help but feel astoundingly embarrassed by the intolerance shown by these knuckleheads. Thankfully, most of these folks are old and don't really represent the population of Quebec.
