THIS! Guy has done so much for the franchise since the lockout. And the Craw is so repetitive on this subject. CC is right for once.

*runs and hides*
I don't care about the past. I care about the present. And if teams held onto players by how well they performed in the past then there would hardly be any trades in the NHL.

If anyone is interested on here that collects Hockey Cards, I have a ton of cards Im selling, mostly from 2000 through 2010 and mostly Rookie Autographs, SPX, SP Authentic, Young Guns.

If your looking for a certain card, PM me and let me know, I may have it.

and rosters would be more flooded with overpaid flash in the pan players

Nice hard fought 2 points tonight for the Bruins.

Tuukka Rask came up huge. I do have to question his belly flop on the third shooter of the SO though.:lol

Overall, the team seems to be missing that spark Marchand brings. Good thing he'll be back soon.

Halak gets another shutout. While he can't play as many games as most number one goalies, you can always bank on some beauties from him.

The guy is 27 and has kept us in a lot of important games. Until he gives us a reason to get rid of him, I am okay with keeping him. Yeah, so he slumps with the rest of the team for a string of games this season and we're out for the guy's head? Be realistic. Dany Heatley he is not. And I hardly call either of those guys a flash in a pan.

Flash in a pan players are Ken Hodge Jr, Kevin Todd, Daniel Marios, Gary Leeman (to a lesser extent), Jim Carey, and Andrew Raycroft.

I got a long list. I have most of the SPX, SP Authentic, and Upper Deck Young Guns from 2000 through 2010. Some have already sold, like I'm sold out of all my Crosby's. Sold all his cards at his peak before he was hurt. I'm trying to sell most of them off except i'm keeping all my Bruins because thats my team :)

Is there a certain player your looking for or were you just asking what I had?

So much for asking if you have Lucic... no Crosby? Damn! You don't have a Brodeur or Francis do you?

btw Post in here... we love hockey talk. Even though 20 of these guys equal one of me. That's why I have conversations with myself in this thread... because when it comes to hockey knowledge, I blow these guys out of the water. Yup, elite hockey fan right here.

:exactly:

:lecture

hehe What players do you have on a more obscure level? Tyler Ennis? Granted he was a top rookie last year. I have a odd following of players I like.

Poor Crosby...I think he is finished as being a vegetable isn't worth it. After all the rumours floating around in the summer about his parents begging for him to retire and after the latest difficulties, I'd say Sid the Kid will hang up his skates :(

I don't think he'll retire. He'll be back.
He wouldn't be the first player to require a full season to recovery from an injury.

Well its like Marc Savard in Boston. He tried coming back but just wasnt able to. I don't want Crosby out of the league because he is great for the NHL, but Cooke's hit on Savard deserved punishment, so maybe its karma getting back at Pitt for it :dunno :) LoL

Now that is lame. Karma? Yeah, because Crosby wanted Cooke to do that to Savard.... Joking around or serious... yikes. :slap

Im just joking of course :) Being a Bruins fan, we all hate what Cooke did to Savard. Its still brought up a lot especially when we play Pitt.

But Savard and Crosby very similar situation. Maybe Crosby because he is younger can eventually come back. Patrice Bergeron had a severe concussion and took him about 2 years to really get back to himself. But everyone is different, concussions effect everyone differently.

Like I said Crosby is great for the league and is an amazing player.

Oh I don't like Cooke either. Just because a player is on my team doesn't mean I like them. I don't Byfuglien and he's on my Jets. I didn't like Jagr when he was a Pen. I appreciate both players and what they did, but I just am not a fan of either guy.

In the end, I just didn't like the joke. Having said that, I would be pissed off too being a B's fan. Savard was a great (hugely underrated) player and a huge loss to you guys despite the fact your team has been the best team in the league the past two years. I always had a thing for the BBB. Neely and Bourque while growing up, and to a lesser extent Moog, and then Lucic, Chara, and Thomas today.

Im just glad Savard got his name on the Cup. Very much deserved. He is one of my favorite All-Time Bruins.

Love Bourque, Neely, Oates, Moog, Sweeney, we had a lot of great players for a long time. Amazing they never won a Cup during those years, but Gretzky, Messier, Lemieux, Roy, Yzerman, and Brodeur got in the way for a long long time. I was very bizarre that Bourque went to Colorado to get a Cup. But I don't hold it against him. He deserved it. He played the game right, and was a model citizen on and off the ice. Someone you always rooted for. Just a great great player, probably even a nicer person.

I agree on Savard. Still feel bad for him on how things ended.

Those early 90s Bruins should have come up with a Cup. 1991 was the year I thought they'd do it, but things went south after Ulf Samuelsson hit Neely in game 3 of the Wales final after the Bruins had gone up 2-0 in the series.

Bourque is my favorite player of all time. I can't fault him for moving at the end of his career. The 2000/2001 Bruins were terrible. It has shocked me how much Jacobs has opened up the wallet in the last few years.
