nice fight and goal filled game between Philly and Boston yesterday

I am happy Boston won and beat Philadelphia. :yess:

Gotta give it to Scott Hartnell this season, he's turning me into a believer. May have to make that trade in my league.

Hartnell/MacArthur and two 1sts for D. Sedin. May not happen now with how strong of a season Hartnell has been having.

Your Sedin for Hartnell/MacArthur? Do it now! :lecture

Was a good game yesterday, sucks losing a game like that but them the breaks.

Losing a game like that? Malkin and Neal were owning you guys everytime they stepped on the ice. They have been in Beast mode and are the main reason why the Pens have a fighting chance. That team is a one line team right now.

I'll give you this.. it was a very well fought out game between both teams and makes for exciting hockey when you got the rivalry going. Looks like Michalek and Ovechkin are both going to get suspensions out it though.

Was there some political reason why Thomas didn't show up at the White House? This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Obama mentioned Thomas by name as the "only American to ever be named playoffs MVP".

Thomas not attending was due to "political and ideological differences with the Obama administration". That's fine not agree with Obama, but it really comes off as a ******* move.

:lol Obama apparently doesn't remember Brian Leetch.

Obama was totally reading off the cards. I think he may have read it wrong. I'm going to assume the fellow who wrote his speech did the proper research.
Obama didn't look particularly prepared.

That was kind of a ____ move by Thomas. I hate everything about politics and politicians, but if i had a chance to visit the Whitehouse and meet the Pres, I would go.

Thomas issues a statement...

"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People. This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government. Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL."

Personally I think the old guy is just getting uppity because a foreigner is trying to steal his job.:lol

Thomas is a RightWing arsehole who probably would have been first in line to shake hands with Dubya had the Bruins won during his intermission. Except Thomas would have looked the other way at the Bush administration growing the size of the government like most Tea Party idjits!

Oh and about Obama going to a Caps game?
The first President to attend a Caps game was Bill Clinton. Just saying.

btw Those Pens won't make the playoffs, eh? Well lookie here... 6 game win streak and the hottest line in all of hockey is wha?! A Penguins line?!

Kunitz-Malkin-Neal

Mmmhmmm.

With Letang back and a healthy Staal, Fleury does his job and we can go deep this year w/o Crosby. Aside from Boston the other teams are very beatable
