Now to tear a new one for guy's like the Craw who think Marc-Andre Fleury is bunk...

Guess who's currently riding on a HOT 4-1-0 record and 1.39 GAA and .941 save percentage in his last 5 starts? Oh yeah, that would be the Flower. Booyeah _____es!

Yup Lemieux did go nuts in Juniors too. I pointed out Lafontaines because he had just 10 Penalty Minutes. I think thats hilarious!!! :) :) Lemieux had 97 PIMS. when did he have time to go to the penalty box?

I love that Lemieux's first goal was vs. the Bruins. I believe it was a breakaway.... I was a huge Lemieux fan. And still am. He was my favorite other than the Bruins growing up. Was so sad when he got sick and then had all the back issues. I remember getting his Rookie Card in 1985. I was so psyched. One of my favorite collectibles I own :)

I rank him #3 behind Bobby Orr and Gretzky. I think most people do.

Plus being the Pens of the video game NHL during those Lemieux years was awesome. I was always the Pens because Lemieux was the best player in those games :) soo much fun!!!

Heck no he's No. 1 given what he's done with the ____ he went through. Yes, he scored on his first shift in his first game against the Bruins. Beat Bourque as well.

Guy scored 160 points in 60 games during 92/93. Good enough for 2.66 PPG and did that on such a bad back he had a trainer tie his own skate laces. Amazing! Also, he was going through Cancer treatments for Hogkins. I also own his rookie card.\

My best collectible is either Cody Hodgson's first ever pro game worn (Calder Cup final patch), Henrik Sedin gamer Meigray game worn (worth 2,500 now) or my Luc Bourdon gamer (Team Canada) which is worth a lot of moola now, R.I.P. btw That jersey has been signed twice and even comes with the socks.

+ Flower. If he has any haters left, they need to shove it up their ass. He's been nothing short of amazing this year. All the haters who blasted him in the past have no room to talk. He's an elite goalie, plain and simple. Anyone overlooking the difference he made tonight either hates MAF, or doesn't pay attention to this game too well.

Cmon dude, yes they won the past few games and hes played like hes supposed to, but look at the comp? Aside from teh Rangers it was all trash teams. Did you see teh stinker he let in last night, should have stopped that.

He has the capacity to play great, but I think something between his ears stops him some times

Meh, your numbers mean nothing to me. Try watching an entire Pens game once and see how sloppy he plays. I don't care about numbers. Only consistency.

I do watch the games.

In fact I probably have seen more hockey than you... season ticket holder... and then I also watch as many games as I can on the tube at home or in the gym.

And Fleury has sick moves... he's very fast and quick on his feet. Likes to flash that glove.

IMO Fleury is a good goalie but I would take these guys over him:

T. Thomas <--- best in the NHL
T. Rask <--- will be the best once Thomas steps aside :)
H. Lundqvist
J. Halak
N. Backstrom

Im not ready to put Elliott or Quick on high status just yet, but they are both having great seasons. Quick is getting better and better every year and could be an elite goalie soon.

Jimmy Howard is pretty good, but he plays for Detroit who plays such great defense. And I also like Pekka Rinne a lot.

As good as both Thomas and Rask are I think the system they play in helps them a lot. Not putting them down, but definitely props has to go to the system as much as the goaltending. I agree to a few of those, but Halak and Backstrom, meh.... love Fleury's athleticism and he keeps getting better with every passing year. Also, until some of those other guys (minus-Thomas) show they can win the real big important games, I still put Fleury ahead of 4 of the 5 you mentioned, with of course the exception of Timmy.

They finally got decent win against a contender. And who needs Crosby when we got Geno. That guy is on a tear lately.

Who needs Sidney Crosby because we have Geno?!?!?!?! Blind with conceit, much?! Having both superstars gives us the two most lethal lines in all of hockey. They were also why the Red Wings top shut down guys could not beat us in the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Both lines were firing on all cylinders. While this recent winning surge has been great, not to mention Evgeni Malkin has helped my fantasy team heaps, it's just the regular season. Come playoff time you want to have more than one big line that produces for you. Cue Ottawa in the 2007 Cup Finals and/or Philadelphia in the 1997 Cup Finals. Both teams were beaten by the opposition because they had one strong line that was producing for them. Shut down one able line, and you pretty much have taken the head off of the serpent, but when you have more than one strong dominate line, you have a two headed serpent. You take the head off of one, you have another to deal with. We need Crosby playing as much as a dominate Malkin playing for us. The two give us the best 1-2 punch in the league. Come playoff time when both are amped and into it, nobody can beat team. 2008 Malkin was a no show in the last two rounds OF that post season, and Crosby was carrying them on his back. Also, they were a young team figuring things out. 2010 was a Cup hangover and I believe they had overextended themselves. 11 rounds of playoff hockey in 4 years can do that. Also, during that time there was the 2010 Olympics. It was a lot of hockey for those two.

In the end, get a hungry Crosby and Malkin going and that team is just nuts! Look at what they did with 4 of their top 9 out of the lineup for parts of last season. Add the fact, both their two big superstars missing half a season each. 1 point out of first overall in the East. That's what! So yes, it's very important that we as Penguins fans get the importance of having both No. 87 and 71 in the lineup. The more I read your posts, the more I wonder just how much you follow the game.

That's why Boston is so good. They have more than one good line. That will be the team to beat again.

Hows Fleury's SVP tonight? at one point 4 goals on 8 shots, 3 of which he should have done better on, christ the Habs scored in 24 seconds

Pretty awesome. At least they know their booze is safe.

Seems to be a good goalie debate going on here...I'll add my opinion.

I respect and like almost every goalie in the NHL. Except one clown.

Yes, but 3 of those goals were attributed to bad defensive gafs. Could he have been better? Yes! Has he? Yes! Will he have off moments/games from time to time? Yes! In the end, did he win? HELL YES! Even the Tim Thomas' of the hockey world have their bad games. Still, Marc-Andre Fleury kept the Pens in it and won at the end of the day. He made the big saves and at the times that mattered the most, by going perfect in OT and then the shootout. That matters more than anything! Of course Evgeni Malkin's late minute heroics to tie it up helped us out. Not to mention he was the only capable shooter in the SO. Man, that guy has been brilliant this season.

Only thing I'll give you guys on Fleury is his consistency level. He gets on top of that he is gold. Remember he's only 27 and has been to the show twice. Guy is amazing, like him or not! In the end I care about wins. You guys focus on the silliest of things. Sure if he was losing games left, right, and center and not giving any glimpses of hope or flashes of brilliance, I can see the pessimistic nature of it, but this? Really?! You guys need a new hobby! Guess what, Marty Brodeur's career save percentage is under Fleury's last two seasons yet he's arguably the greatest goalie to play the game. In fact if you did a poll in front of 100 hockey fans, they would put Brodeur ahead of everyone else. So I wouldn't be waving the save percentage stat around so carelessly. Just sayin'. :wave

Clearly, going into the third with a 2 goal lead isn't good enough to win as the Habs have lost with this kind of lead several times this year. The Habs are so out of shape. There's nothing left in the tank after 40 minutes. Is there a way to find who leads the league in sqaundering leads in the third? The Habs have to be first in that regard.

This has been such a loooooooooooong season for Habs fans.

The game last night reminded me again what a worthless ____ Subban is.

He's starting to look like the Terrell Owens of the NHL. I'm not sure he has any friends left on the team. The kid can't shut up and he does whatever the heck he wants...
What the hell was with that back and forth with Ladouceur on the bench after his bonehead play which cost the Habs a goal? Can this kid even be coached?

The errors dont bother me, but his attitude and constant yapping on the ice drive me crazy, I cant stand him.

I know there is all this talk about trading him, if the right deal comes, think the Habs should get rid of him, hes to much of a distraction

Hope they bench him tonight
