sounds like Ovi is pulling out of the ASG as a response to his suspension

I think the "who cares?" response Ovie will (on the most part) be receiving from fans and media should get him to see that he isn't as beloved and untouchable as he thinks.

Right now, if you had a choice between Malkin and Ovie, who would you choose? Exactly.

That would 100% sucked

If the right deal came around, I can see him moved. I'm also beginning to wonder if there's a leadership issue on the team. Have they truly replaced the voices of Pronger, Carter, and Richards?
The only voice I hear is from loopy Bryzgalov. Flyers could use more veteran leadership to move forward.

Love him or hate him, Fleury had an unreal 3rd period and OT. He's the reason we got 2 points this game.

For whom? He's not going anywhere.

Scott Hartnell is the MAN, so glad he's going to the ASG.

Lavvy did great work on him, going from a head basher to a goal sniper in the matter of a year.

Lavvy was doing the same with Carcillo. I know that's not a popular statement but he briefly turned the goon into a player. Now he's back to being a goon. :lecture

Ummm, incorrect. Daniel Carcillo was receiving 4th line minutes and showing 4th line production last season and was constantly taking stupid penalties and getting suspended, to even playing himself off the roster as a healthy scratch.

In Chicago he was producing due to playing top-six minutes. Mostly on the second line. Just saying. The guy was more a goon last season than this past year. A season ending injury unfortunately took him out or else he would be on pace for a career season.

In the end, he is a goon and always will be a goon, with top-six upside. Whether that upside is something that can be sustainable for an entire season, remains to be seen. The 30 goal scorer that Wayne Gretzky once had him billed as, well... that he certainly is not. He should not be a top-sixer on any team. His IQ capacity does not allow it.

I disagree. He had a few goals in key games. :lecture

Yes, you are right about one thing. The part he had a few goals. 4 to be exact in 57 games. Hardly a player statistic I would be impressed by, and as for the timely matter of those goals, didn't realize they were all game winners.... Que: sarcasm. He missed 25 games due to being a healthy scratch (if you saw him play you would know why) and suspensions. The key goals you were referring to was two years ago. When he had glimmers of an actual NHL player. But hey, if we want to live in the past, then Dany Heatley is stiil the best goal scorer in the NHL by that very skewed logic, because he ummm, scored 50 in 2006/07. Just saying. My point is, Daniel Carcillo was pretty much damaged goods in his last season with Philadelphia and was pretty much useless, causing his team more harm than good and why the team did not retain his rights or play him for close to a third of the season. When he was played, it was sparingly. However in Chicago he has been a multi-dimensional player. He's been scoring on a more consistent basis and made himself resourceful. He kept himself involved in the top-six with the Hawks because of the quality of his play.

What I am saying is fact. Not an opinion-based or subjection. So by that very definition, you can not disagree with me. Unless you want to disagree that the grass is not green and the sky is not blue on a sunny clear Summer's day. Unless, of course, you're in Los Angeles. ;)

P.S. Stop quoting me guys before I edit my posts! :pfft: hehe

Took you about 20 minutes to research all that. :yess:

Not research you goomba. I have it all locked and sealed in my head. I was typing that all out and making necessary corrections as I was posting. Most of the stuff I know is stored up in my noggin. Gotta love Aspergers.... why they call me Rainman in my hockey pool leagues. I am a novelty at parties. Tell me a guy and which season he played in and I'll most likely know his stats. Even to lesser known stuff like PPGs, SHGs, and SOG.

Nope, I know my hockey and know it well. One thing I do know is this game.

That's complete bull____. :lecture

WHAT?! Now you're just trying to get me going.

Not gonna happen! Not anymore! I am learning! No, I do know my numbers... I am obsessed with hockey. I love the schmell of it. The tay___e of it... a schmoke and a pancake!

Getting off my crazed obsession of this sport, how is fatherhood going?

Of course I am! :lol

Well my friend. It's tough but very rewarding. The smiles are the best parts so far. :rock

Thanks for asking! :duff

Nice. I am just happy right now that I have a dog finally. Took a long time to get my own dog. Beautiful animal! Love her. My next goal is to be a father. It's funny how one day, you have that desire to be a parent. Like it just comes out of no where.

That's how it works man. It's a great feeling when it comes to fruition. It really is. :yess:
