That is true but, in order to make that deal happend it would have to included one of the two(Lupul or Kessel) and Kessel is a better all around player this year then Lupul, faster too.

A straight up fair trade would be just Kessel for Nash but, i don't know if i want to see that happend.

I wouldn't, Kessel is younger and has a brighter future with the Leafs.

Most American team players generally prefer to stay in the US.
Players gets real spoiled by the lower tax system very quickly.

I'd love to see him come to Montreal... However, the fear mongering discriminating seperatists in Quebec would simply picket at the airport as if the Habs just signed Genghis Khan.

Well now we are hearing Gardiner and some picks, maybe Grabo..i'd be a-ok with that trade.

Apparently Nash's list of four teams include Toronto,Boston, Rangers and LA.

What can those teams give up? UFAs don't count for squat in a trade like this.

Not the greatest effort tonight from the Bruins. Way too sloppy in the third period. Nice to start the long road trip with a win though, onward to Winnipeg.

Well he is from Brampton so Toronto would be the obvious pick. Then he'd be close to his family for the next 7 years of his contract :D

It may of been a lousy hockey week but I'm getting amped that the deadline is coming up soon :D

For real?

When was the last time we had a remarkable trading deadline? Trend is usually the more the talk the less the trading.

Yes. For real.

I enjoy the trade deadline, just as much as the opening day of FA signings :D

Plus, with the possibility of those bums Schenn, Kadri, and Kulemin going for Nash, it's like Christmas waiting for the text saying we scored Nash for useless grocery sticks :panic:

Just saying boys, just saying. Yes please!

Nash isn't going anywhere.:lol

It's like at the beginning when all the sites were saying Stamkos was close to signing with Philly. :rotfl

What I don't get about all this Rick Nash trade rumors hogwash that's been circulating, is for the longest time it was Jeff Carter that was the big forward that was in the constant ramblings of trade discussion. He's not been producing anywhere near the clip of his Flyer days or what his contract value dictates. It sounds like he's not happy there, but that there are teams showing interest that feel they could be a better fit for him.

I don't get why you would trade your franchise captain over an overpaid centerman, who is showing no signs of improvement. Maybe they are trying to replace Nash with a suitable playmaker for Carter. It just seems like a regressive step backwards. Guess they are really pining for that Nail Yakupov pick, if these rumors are in fact true.

:goodpost:

I read somewhere about him going to L.A., that would be crazy. He is def unhappy where he is. Going from a sports city to just a football town would suck big time. I have a feeling he was faking his injury. :lol
