Grade 3 MCL sprain 4-6 weeks. Looks like the B's will be in the market for a forward in the next couple weeks. They probably were going to be anyway, but this really forces their hand.

I can't believe that at nearly 37 Gill was worth 2 players and a draft pick.

I almost feel bad for Blake Geoffrion. His transition to the NHL has been slow already and now he's going to Montreal where there's a bit of a family history. Good luck with the manageable expectations of that fan base kid.

The Habs will miss Gill. He was very much liked by his teamates, the fans, and the media. He was traded for a 2nd rounder, a maybe player, and a minor league lifer. The Preds get a conditional 5th rounder if Geoffrion plays 40 games next season. A good deal for the Habs' rental.

As for Geoffrion, no one is expecting him to be the second coming. The only tough issue I see for him is that he is a player of francophone descent born in the US. The media here will chastise him for forsaking his french heritage and becoming an anglophone. He has no idea what is coming in THAT regard. The french media will spin it as a betrayal on his family's part and will use it as further evidence to show that the world at large wants to destroy the french culture in Quebec because that's what everyone on the planet thinks about daily --To destroy the french culture in Quebec.

Horrible decision by Letang led directly to the first goal. The officiating in this game is crap. Simmonds interfering with no one was my favorite so far. Staal of course got nailed for the make up call.

The jackets GM I would assume by now knows he got fleeced in the carter deal. IF and its a huge IF, they would deal with the flyers again I think their return would be a lot heavier including roster players.
