I read somewhere about him going to L.A., that would be crazy. He is def unhappy where he is. Going from a sports city to just a football town would suck big time. I have a feeling he was faking his injury. :lol

I wouldn't go that far. Faking an injury? Hmmm. I know players dumb down their games if they want to be traded. Dale Hawerchuk did that in his last season with the Winnipeg Jets (Ver 1.0) after he finally couldn't take the direction of the team and their constant non playoff births.

Trust me, It's been a while since I have been to a jackets game but from what I remember it was a total ghost town. I would play there :lol but Carter has a big ego I think.

Rick Nash for Mike Richards. Richards has been playing like tossed salad in LA, and has good chemistry with Carter. I say that is a solid return for Nash if they want better chemistry between two star players. They get a guy back who's captain material and plays along that future direction Columbus would be taking. They'll probably land Nail Yakupov or his linemate on his Junior team who's out with an injury, Alex Galchenyuk.

That potential roster right there has a better shot at anything resembling a Championship vs. the mess that is the Blue Jackets of now.

That trade will never happen.

The CBJ will wait for a trade that will make them a better team not turn them into the Maple Leafs.

Like I said LA and Columbus are the best trade partners right now. Their Richards for their Nash. Simple. It's actually a better trade from Columbus' perspective than LA's, but it's not like LA loses anything by obtaining Nash for Richards.

that doesnt make LA better or col

they should trade non roster players for carter

How so? Of course it makes Columbus better. Richards and Carter have chemistry. Right now Carter has zero chemistry with Nash. And Nash has been better (albeit not by much) than Richards this season. While it may not improve LA a whole lot, which is debatable, since they get a big bodied powerforward that can put the puck in the net better than anyone can in LA right now, and that even goes for Kopitar! So yeah, I don't see how you don't think it could improve both teams situations. If Carter and Richards gel, it could make an interesting tandem. One that did better than the tandem of Nash and Carter. Good chemistry between star players is very important. I don't care if Nash is a better player, again, that is debatable.

No way I would do Richards for Nash even up if I were Columbus. Nash put up lots of points playing on a crapfest team since he was in the league. Richards has had a supporting cast his entire time (not taking anything away from him, Richards is a good player.)

If talks would come up it would either be Nash for Richards and a 1st or Jack Johnson. LA is pretty well off in net as well, so they could try to squeeze in a goalie too.

it doesnt make LA better cuz they are trading talent for talent, maybe not in points but all around. LA needds to add Nash without giving up current players

as for cbj, they are crapfest all around so why tradevyour best player in hopes of reigniting chemistry in just two players? youve now unloaded your best player and still have carters ____ contract

i say trade them both

I always was in the place you maintain your franchise player/center piece which is Nash and trade what isn't working, Carter, even if his trade value is low. Better to get something vs. nothing. Just saying if they did Nash, Richards coming back makes sense if Carter is not made available. Also, it's not just talent for talent. It's who works better for what team. LA gets the better player and a primary goal scorer which they need and Columbus gets a better tandem in Richards/Carter that have chemistry together. Just sayin'.

so where is Pavel Kubina going...Stevie Y isn't letting him play so a deal has got to be just about done

I don't get to see a lot of the Southeast but he's the only player whose GM is actually keeping him out until he is traded. Tampa must be getting something moderately decent in return that they don't want to lose out on via an injury

Tampa Bay seems to have a lot of those. No wonder they suck. Bergeron and Kubina. Yay! And finally they give Hedman PP time. Idiots, he's the future backbone of the team!

I really dislike their coach too.

On better news that is the ____ty team that is Tampa Bay, the Caps band-aid boy Mike Green is making a millionth attempt at playing this weekend. PLEASE REMAIN HEALTHY AND SCORE! I have him in my keeper and all I can land for him right now is one third of Brent Burns? ____ off!

CBJ will likely be asking for a Burke type of deal, that is, a couple 1st rounders, and possibly a player, or an additional 2nd rounder. My guess is that CBJ will be looking to rebuild as opposed to becoming a contender overnight. CBJ would trade Carter too if it could. What is up with these teams offering these 10 year contracts? Does that EVER work out in the signing team's favor? Stupid. The next CBA should ban deals over 5 years. Also, there should be a stricter limit as to how much of the salary cap one player can hog for himself.

To be honest, If Im CBJ, thats the only deal I take, i dont want someone else's garbage. They will have a good shot at Nails, toss in some other first rounders and some prospects, they would be set.

i heard rumblings of a amnesty clause in the next CBA whihc would allow teams to unload a crappy deal if it didnt work out, at least so it didnt fall against the cap.
