Say what you want. Power play aside Philly has dominated. The CAPS played better games than the Habs. The Habs are good at the power play. 5 on 5 and they can't touch Philly. That being said Philly WILL win on Wednesday.

all i'm saying is that this series isn't over yet. why do people keep bringing up the power play? that's PART OF THE GAME.

Never said it wasn't. I don't remember saying that. :dunno In fact they are very good at it. Unfortunately so is the Flyers goalie. Although the 5 minute onslaught was almost to much to handle.

No it's not over yet. Montreal is a great road team. And the PP isn't the only reason they had the best record in the east...obviously. They have played one good game so far in these playoffs. Game 7 in the Boston series....that's it. Maybe it's youth and maybe it's a bad run. Hopefully it will change soon. I might start Halak in game 4. Price is Shakey right now...giving up too many soft goals.

He is still very young. I think hockey has some of the youngest players in pro sports. I wonder it the Habs would being doing better had they not gotten rid of Huey? Either way I love the way the emotions are starting to come into play. Should get better the next game. I just wish that Hatcher didn't commit the dumb penalty. I honestly think the Flyers will win if they can stay the hell out of the box.

The Habs are the youngest team in the playoffs....and I think it is showing. That was one of the goals the Flyers had is to not commit the dumb penalty. For the most past they have accomplished that. And the Habs PP is not clicking like it did during the regular season. They were 1st in the RS and last now. Letting Huet go isn't a big deal IMO....Halak is also a very good netminder.

it's amazing with the Habs... this team IS a young playoff team, and yet they have Guy Carbonneau, Kirk Muller for coaches, and Bob Gainey for GM!

All I know is my Moose lost and were the far more talented team... no more playoff action to see in person. :(

But, my Pens are 6-0! :)

well colorado is in the crapper. another game where detroit gets 5 out of the first 6 power play opportunities and they capitalized. it was very painful to see the depleted and injured av team playing, with forsberg noticeably still in pain with a groin pull, ryan smyth not playing, paul stastny getting injured and leaving the game early, and the av defense doing the same thing they did the first two games.

i would say half the problem is injuries but the other half is the lack of adjustments made by the avalanche coaching staff. while detroit was enjoying clogging the neutral zone and dominating the avs from entering the offensive zone, av defenseman allowed the wings to free skate into their offensive zone showing zero resistance with lame attempts at poke checking the puck off their sticks. the physical game was still no where to be found. as great as foote did against gaborik in the first round, he was equally pathetic against the wings in all three 2nd round games.

hitting the wings in the neutral zone and attempting to separate this possession orientated team from the puck was the only way colorado would be able to compete for 60 minutes. they failed miserably. i do have to give praise to forsberg, realizing game 3 was going to make or break the series. he did his very best to fight through the injury but wound up hurting the team taking 3 minors. at this point it's academic. my prediction was detroit in five and i hope colorado can at least win one. they gave it a good shot but detroit is way too good a team to have key players out of the lineup. also the av coaching staff couldn't coach their way out of a nutsack.

and i don't blame theodore, although he did let up a few soft goals in the series, he must have been pissed that his defense allowed detroit to free skate in the zone without coverage, taking shot after shot and pouncing on rebound after rebound.

and for you eastern conference fans..how on earth will your team be able to stop either dallas or detroit? whoever they meet, it's not going to be a cakewalk.

Ottawa may have been considered a cakewalk. Everyone thought the rangers would take the pens to 7 games. It still may, but it doesn't look like it. As far as matching up teams, Dallas worries me more than Detroit from the games I have seen.

Hasek has already been chased from net from an overachieving Nashville team. From an offensive standpoint Detroit has one real strong scoring line ( Zet, Dat) Holmstrom hasn't really bounced back to his early season form since being injured midway through the season. "The Mule" has scored big goals no doubt. But, he is not a proven goal scorer. Players get hot all the time. If he keeps it I'll be very impressed. Lidstrom is Lidstrom and he is a freak of nature.....

Dallas seems to be the team that could give the pens the most fits because they match up well. Both teams have more than one line that can put the puck in the net. Plus Zubov returned so that makes their PP all the more dangerous. It should be interesting to see no doubt.

Regardless, if the pens - flyers are in the eastern conf. final I don't think it will matter much which team is in the west. The western team will win because the pens - flyers series will be last person skating wins type of series. The winner will be limping badly into the finals...

Through 3 games of the Philly series and 7 against the Bruins, I'm not very impressed by the Habs. How in the world were they 1st in the conference. :huh

They struck a deal with the devil and the contract terminated after the 82nd regular season game. First round was one based on sheer luck.

Good game going on tonight. The Habs look like they want it more only Biron has something to say about that. Third period should be great!
