ummmm I WOULD IF I HAD A LITTLE THING CALLED MONEY! A fan can still watch it from afar. Besides I am saving up for piece of Penguins history..
btw My love of the Penguins is not recent like most of these bandwagoners that decided to come out from no where. Funny, I was the only one sporting Penguins jerseys (I own three and soon I'll own four + a bunch of t-shirts) when they were sucking, yet now everyone and their mother that's a hockey fan sports the Pens' gold and black. Of course now they are winning and have a plethora of young elite talent. How convenient. Not saying you are the aforementioned prax, but I own no Malkin and Crosby jerseys. I have only Lemieux and Francis. Another Lemieux on the way and I'll have something game used hopefully to add to my collection. Oh yes, I even have a game used Pascal Dupuis stick with CoA straight from the Wild organization. In fact, an entire wall of my collector's room is covered with Pens memorabilia, all 15+ years old.
Besides, I can't go to a Pens game even if I wanted to.. I have a school interview this week and as much as my Pens are my love, they'll be there long after I graduate from college. However, I need to get into this school. This maybe my best and only chance. Priorities are priorities. I maybe a great fan, but I am not a dumb one. And if this Pens team is as good as I think it could be they'll have another trip to the Finals in the foreseeable future. Where then I will not only be able to afford to go to the games, but also I can go because by then I will have graduated (hopefully) and will have the time available to go.

Nobody hates the Detroit Wings, and if they do.. why?! They have had a plethora of class acts that have laced skates with that team over the years.
Terrible Ted Lindsay (he was off the ice), Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Terry Sawchuck, Red Kelly, Marcel Dionne, Steve Yzerman, Gerald Gallant, Paul Coffey, Vladimir Konstantinov (okay not so much, but he was off the ice... had to mention my all-time favorite dman), Igor Larionov, Slav Fetisov, Mike Vernon, Niklas Lidstrom, etc.
I love that team, but again, I just love my Pittsburgh Penguins more.

Good question! Let me sum it up for you. Philly fans hate everyone else who isn't a Philly fan. That goes for all sports. However, I won't speak for basketball. Is that even a sport?

You should have seen it in '83. I used to go with my dad and friends and we literally could pick and change seats almost anywhere in the civic arena!!!
Come '90-91 everyone was a pens fan.
You'll have the money someday!!! Unfortunately, the costs only go up. In the 90-91 finals, my ticket was $29 for section C9. In the 91-92 finals, the price was $36. TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!!
Let me know if you want any Lemieux collectibles. I have so much, I have no room to display most of it, therefore boxed in storage

I was lucky enough to be a season ticket holder until moving to CA from Pit in '02. Got to see almost all of his career from C9. Lots of great memories!!! There's a pic in the Hall of Fame showing the ice and crowd after the GWG in game 1 of the '92 finals against the hawks, which I can be seen in (little, but there).
Oh, and collectibles....autos on pics, jerseys, pucks, tickets, sticks, crests - statues, mags, coins, cards, coll. plates, watches and etc...
