So is Osgood and his acting.. love the constant diving. Getting Detroit all of those extra power plays. Thank goodness that the Penguins PK was a rockin'!

Not even close to being in the same category! Come on eli I thought you were a hockey fan?

I am... not a question. Can patrol hockey forums and will find me but with other nicks... the Sykora tap was a dive, and so was the hit from up front.. I can't remember who tagged him then.

I love when someone doesn't like something you say they question your fandom. lol

Place rolling eyes smiley here.

btw I love the Wings.. My second favorite team, but it is what it is. Osgood is a good goalie... he's lucky to have such a great cast in front of him.

Malone was pushed into Osgood who knew it was coming and dropped like he was shot with a cannon. The game overall was not called great but those are two prime examples. Malone "slash" was really weak for playoff hockey as well. I think either Doc or Emeric even said they could call that penalty on every shift.

I watched the replay of Roberts tagging Franzen and I must say I don't know why everyone got so excited. Was it a shot to the head? Yes. Was it a knock out blow? Far from. Did he and should he have received a penalty? Yes. Did Franzen fall down 5 seconds after the love tap. Of course. All this crap about him being a target is crazy. Its playoff hockey and Gary Roberts will abuse anyone near him.

Now I will say the wings are definitely by far and away the better team at this stage. If the pens want any hope of getting this past 4 games they are going to need to find a way to get through the neutral zone. Secondly, Malkin has totally disappointed me. He commented after game 1 that he's tired. That is the worst excuse I think I ever heard. A 21 year old kid complaining that he is tired while in the stanley cup final. If he doesn't snap out of it back in pitt I will not be getting the jersey I planned on getting thats for sure....

Malkin went above and beyond what was expected of him in 2008 when Crosby went down, leading the league in scoring in the new year. He is only 21, and has been easily the best Penguin from January to the first week of May. That probably goes for the entire NHL as well. Last few weeks, especially in this series, he has been invisible. It will happen. He's in his sophomore campaign and has laced up for a total 98 games so far. 82 during the regular season and 16 thus far into these playoffs. The most games he has played in one hockey season in his young career.

I would still get that No. 71 Penguins jersey because he'll be MUCH better in a few years, which is very scary thought, and one that has me giddy.

Dive or not the game was over who cares! Trying to injure a player who is coming back from a concussion is another thing, it's a cheap bushleague play! Roberts wasn't even as bad as Whitney's buttend to the temple though. Funny how the Wings can turn even the most skilled teams into a bunch of thugs! :lol

Enjoy this season's Cup win, because the Penguins will dominate the next 10 years. :)

But I am happy for the Wings! Just will be more happy when my Pens capture their inevitable third Cup.
