Malkin went above and beyond what was expected of him in 2008 when Crosby went down, leading the league in scoring in the new year. He is only 21, and has been easily the best Penguin from January to the first week of May. Last few weeks, especially in this series, he has been invisible. It will happen. He's in his sophomore campaign and has laced up for 98 games so far. The most games he has played in one hockey season in his young career.
I would still get that No. 71 Penguins jersey because he'll be MUCH better in a few years, which is very scary thought.
