This is the one I used to have years ago. Ignore the left hand, I made Luke as Stormie disguise because the original body was damaged and I only kept the armor. As you can see the shoulder armor looks worse than the 2 Hasbro Stormie listed above...

That thing should be burned lol..i think the old 12incher Stormie from Kenner looks light years ahead of that even..but, still its not as bad as this thing i had when i was young lol. *look below* hahaha..think it was bought for me at a flea market in the early 80's..i think its the same one i had or maybe mine had better detail of the helmet but none the less lol..anyone had something like this?..had lights and other crap..chest sprung open i think.

I don't know if I'd knock it. Taking all things into account, like price, time period, etc, hell even today you'd be hard pressed to find a better 1:6 Stormtrooper for under $20. Not to mention, I'm willing to bet everyone bashing it probably owned one and was stoked to do so when they first had it. And believe me. Once you have kids, it's a godsend. My daughter loves Stormtroopers and kept trying at getting my Sideshows, so I gave her my Hasbro ones. Now she's happy as hell and I don't need to sound like Bill Cosby anymore: "No, no, no, no, no, no, I said NO!" :lol

Hey, thats a plus to buying them back then and just giving them off to your kids when they are young, then maybe if they still have interest later on in their teens, give them the sideshow ones or medicom whatever..I only owned the VOTC 12inch Trooper and i liked it for awhile, it is a huge improvement over some of hasbro's previous Stormtroopers and even the Snowtrooper i got brand new for like $5 was decent..not great but, i did not mind it once i got rid of the huge spring loaded blaster, VOTC Boba Fett is another one of my favorite Hasbro 12inch, i got one loose and one MIB, and Dooku was great as well as Jango Fett.

Dooku and Jango were the highlights of the line. The headsculpts were on par with some of the Higher end figures.

ive just ordered vader but the site i used (forbiddenplanet.com)had very little description-all it says is episode iv darth vader but its the price of a ssc figure and its scheduled for release in a couple months so im assuming its the ssc one ive ordered!? is ss darth the ep iv version??

I would be very surprised if we actually saw him ship before SDCC. My money is on August/September.

Yup, there's lots to get right with him and lots riding on getting him right, I know SSC's going to go the distance to make this figure awesome, so I see that pushing him out, no settling on anything just because he might roll out sooner.

True that. I would guess that we will see the sandtrooper 1st and a month later Vader. It would be awesome if he comes out in september just for my bday.... :)
What do you guys think they will release in 4th quarter?

what??vader on 4th quarter...??NOO......
Hope not man... Vader should be out hopefully in Aug/Sept time frame that we are expecting... In regards to the 4th quarter, I was just wondering what the fellow freaks think is going to be release.

Well Lando's already slated for Q4. Anything between now and Comic Con should be Q4 and depending one what's at Comic Con, something from that could make it within the year too.

I doubt it. Even the storm trooper which was 90% production at SDCC was delayed from Q4 to the very end of Q1.
