If it weren't for SSC I wouldn't be in this hobby. At the prices of HT and Medi, I think I would much rather spend that money on my kids. But then again I'm one of those guys who can't tell the difference between any of the armor. You could stick a clone trooper in front of me with a stormtrooper helmet and I couldnt tell it was inaccurate.

That would have a lot of the guys here redfaced and dropping ass. :rotfl

I honestly think it'll be quite some time before we see another Vader and then it'll probably be a toss-up between ROTS and ROTJ (either being a "reveal"). I don't see much sense in doing a TESB version. Additionally, releasing a better optioned Vader before the ANH version is released and sold through would likely result in quite a few cancellations.

All this discussion of which company makes the best Vaders, Stormies, etc. really annoys me. Especially the crap that medicommunists and Marmitians write in a Sideshow forum! That is why, I'm buying ALL of them! I even have a Hurricane Vader on order which, I'm sure, will be the best out of all.

I have the VOTC one..look at the shoulders! black elastic with holes on each side of the shoulder bells..and the other POS beside it..looks like white elastic going through the shoulder bells in the opposite direction, This is what i mean't by the "holes" in the armor..you can't compare Hasbro to Medicom with detail and quality of product...i still like the Hasbro one though..not sure why, probally from the nostalgic feeling upon purchasing it and others.

I was just watching the video on SS's site where they compare the height of the Vader with the height of a Trooper... :google .... Vader is going to be H U G E . That box is going to have to larger too. I can't wait to get Vader. :drool

Yup, he is an imposing force. I think the ST's may be a hair shorter than most in the SW line though, I had him with ANH Han and it was a hair shorter, so Vader should be perfect with Old Ben and Leia.

I think it depends on helmet placement. SS ST go down on the neck a wee bit too far. My troopers (with hallowed out helmets and headsculpts inside) actually ride higher. But either way, better to have an imposing -if slightly large- Vader than a one that is too small...

:monkey2

I'm severely tempted to try and convert on into an Empire version. But then I wouldn't be surprised if we saw that one released in the next year or so with 30th Anni of Empire coming up. Either way it will be nice to finally have Vader on the shelf!

I have the one on the left but mine has NEVER had proper shoulder armour like that one.. wierd.

In preparation of Vader I bought a Hasbro Death Star Droid... he comes with a Mouse Droid. So I can somewhat replicate the Exclusive PF in 1/6 form :rock

The mouse droid is about as basic as it gets... but with some paint and a bit of work I think it should look pretty cool :rock

The re-released OTV ones have the holes. The regular Stormies released in the 90's don't. They have the shoulder armor molded to the bicep armor instead.

This is the one I used to have years ago. Ignore the left hand, I made Luke as Stormie disguise because the original body was damaged and I only kept the armor. As you can see the shoulder armor looks worse than the 2 Hasbro Stormie listed above...
