Yeah, even though its the one I want most if its Haden under the helmet its a no buy for me.

Thing for me is, it's the one I want most because those 2-3 minutes in ROTJ are easily my favorite moment in the whole saga. When you grow up with OT only, and come to know Vader as the suit, those brief moments of finally seeing the man are just so powerful, at least they were for me, and so much of it was Shaw's expression and voice, I love collectibles of that moment when I can have a very nice replica of exactly what we saw on screen.

Now take that scene and add the total emotional drama of the PT and you have even more reason to want the Shaw sculpt.

Boba didnt get his following until after ROTJ. Lucas even said it himself that he didnt see Boba becoming as much of a cult icon as he did.

Boba had a pretty good following since ESB. I think it could have been even after the SW Holiday Special! Heck, I remember I got him through the mail-away offer in '79! ESB just escalated his popularity. To see him get offed in the first 30 minutes of ROTJ, and in such a ridiculous way, was heartbreaking to me as a 10 year old!

back to the costume change through out the saga complaints. People seem to forget the comics where Vader gets really beat up, and pratcially has to get a new suit to continue living. Or in The Force Unleashed where he also get pretty beat up. I dont think Vader eally cares how the suit is placed on him, as long as it's there to keep him alive. I prefer the perfected look from RotS. I like that he doesnt have the outer robe covering his shoulders. I prefer that look, right afrter the ESB suit. I have seen the original ANH suit in person. It's such in bad shape, they placed it under dark lights so that you wouldn't see how bad it's deteriorating.

Looking foward to this guy. Out side of the Medicom version no other 1/6 version used the 2 tone black and gunmetal on the mask. GG and Koto both where just black.

Medicom never made an ANH Vader. Did one of their other Vaders have the two tone mask?

The ROTJ did :) For some reason the other brands didnt. Even the VCD had the two tone. Vader is just not the same without it.

Serious? I never noticed---but then again, I didn't even know Vader's mask had two tones until sideshow unveiled the proto. :lol

I guess back in 77 it was hard to film an all black mask. So they added the gunmetal highlights. Even some of the Tie helmets where done that way too.

While it's film accurrate, I find the all black looks nicer on a figure because in the movies, I'm sure it helped to make Vader show up on camera, but it doesn't stand out, first time I saw any collectible with the 2 tones I thought it was an error. Since I don't look at figures through a camera all day or in Hollywood lighting, if the contrast isn't sublte enough, I'd rather all black.

Did ppl get their notice on this a while, sorry if I'm confused but I never got a receiving in the warehouse in so many days notice...
