Did Bill say a while ago that they were getting rid of all eye movement and going with a standard sculpt?
...or did I imagine/misread that? ....

I hope you misread it... Bruce Lee MUST have moving eyeballs!

RM-X body is nice to display without pose. Hopefully they could improve and learn the lesson that BL body need to be posable. I am eager to see how well the new body for the Big Boss is and maybe a chance to replace those RM-X at a lower price. Cheers

the RM-X torso was fine.an update on the posability on the arms/elbows without splitting would be good, without too ugly a joint
yep brucey needs moving eyes!!

Well, let's see..

T-Bag: No moving eyes

Ip Man: No moving eyes

Leon: No moving eyes

Onimusha: No moving eyes

Scarface: No moving eyes

Smiling GOD: No moving eyes

Che: No moving eyes

Hmm, not many there. Perhaps they''ll want to keep costs down and won't do it. They used to do an individual system for each head, what would cost less, tooling that or just casting a one piece head?

Times are tough and now is not the time for gimmicks

I only want a 'moving eye' system if it doesn't lessen the BL likeness in the sculpt. Which is what I think happened when they decided to add a 'moving eye' system to the BD head sculpt on the 'Game Of Death' figure.

the older system on the previous BL heads worked fine.so i cant see why they dont continue with that.

Probably because it's Arnie's system. I think EB may have wrongheadedly seen PERS and tried to copy it.

We shall see....

Arnie had no hand developing the system. It was JC Hong's idea. And is copyrighted by EB so there is no legalities involved. I dont think you guys should speculate if moving eyes will be or not be there yet.
EB have never been afraid of trying new things, Im sure they will want to keep one of their best working systems still working for them.

But personally after the amazing recent figures with tremendous paint jobs that Im seeing them make, Im sure Bruce with no matter what eye system will look fantastic!

Claps indeed!

You only need to look at the HT DX figures to see what can go wrong. They used the Bruce sized PERS units on Indy and the 89 Joker and ruined great heads because of it. And before anyone goes on about the heads it did work on, that was because the heads were the same size as Bruce. Anything before Bruce used a slightly different system.

Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should!

:lol You guys are mad. 2 FoF, 2 EtD and 1 Kato says moving eyes aren't a big deal. HT's system is wholly stupid and shouldn't be compared with EB's original set-up, which only caused Arnie some difficulty with WoD. The recent set-up EB tried out with GoD III perhaps affected the sculpt, or maybe it was just YJ Park's lack of match-fitness with sculpting for moving eyes. Either way, I'm confident they'll get it right for their next Bruce. A smiling Bruce is one thing, but an action-oriented Bruce with a fixed gaze wouldn't be a good move.

I remember seeing that too. I might be misremembering, but I believe it was because they were disappointed with the GoD head once they added the movable eyes (which I think came after a long period of showing the prototype without). After that I thought they said no more movable eyes for Bruce Lee specifically.

that's dissapointing all BL figures previous to the 3rd GOD (pers type)worked great with the seperate eye movement.and bruce did use his eyes a lot for expression.i think even the smile GOD head would benefit with moving eyes.time will tell i suppose

because they have tried to improve and reach the HT style...

I disagree, the pers system is perfect you can use any human natural position of the eyes with it, on the contrary with old EB method I've found some difficult to move the eyes in some position, because the joystick of the system eye ball was blocked from the sculpt itself...
is difficulty to describe but I must to dremeled a little bit inside the head to reach a perfect rotation of the eyes...

The big mistake on the BD head was to cut too much the area of the eyes for insert the levers..who will get the third head with painted eyes will have a very good surprise...EB ha improved a lot his quaity of paint of the last figures..

I just find the PERS stick uncomfortably tight to use and the whole thing over-engineered. But yeh, looking past that, the gaze it achieves with the eyes is very good (except if you want to do a cross-eyed look - something I'm not bothered about on Bruce, but would have had fun with on Jack Sparrow). The eyes I have in FoF Bruce and Bean are fine, but I have heard that people have had trouble achieving good eye position with some sculpts. EB making a bit more room on the inside of the sculpt for any future sculpts is no biggie.

thank god someone else remembers it the same way :D

is this a specific Bruce thing?

Honestly I thought to myself if Indy had come with 2 different headsculpts, both without PERS but with different eye positions and facial expressions, I'd have been happier.

With Bruce - early problems with Enterbay for me, specifically WOD, the shiny pupil actually cracked off.... so if you use the moving eyes at all, over time bruce got demon eyes (black pupils no shine)

If Bruce DX came with one head sculpt looking down but eyes up to one side, pretty much covers what you need...

I'm a little freaked out that the PERS for HT is hurting sculpts.

My only beef with EB is pretty much the fact I don't think they are 1/6... their heads are too big, and not scaled right when put with other 1/6 figures.

Just rambling, just got up and having a coffee...
