If a 'moving eye' system is to be included, then I want those moving eyes to be painted like eyes. The way they are painted on regular sculpts. You know, showing the colour separation between iris, pupil ..... etc. For sure that would be better than having a full black dot right? Which is the way EB have done it in the past.

The problem with painted eyes, unless they were really well sealed would be the danger of the paint scraping off. If the inside of the head wasn't properly finished around the eye holes it could happen.

I'm all for them ditching it in favour of really well painted sculpts with bags of character and well painted eyes. Something which they are really starting to do now.

Whatever EB decide. Please don't disappoint :D

Bruce Lee figure fans are so spoiled.

1 x Black Label BL statue.
1 x 1/6 Big Boss figure.
1 x 1/4 FoF figure.

Bruce Lee is the Iron Man of EB :lol

arnie used a FOF CALM HEAD repainted for his WOTD as he wasnt happy with the original, then he used what became the HT suit/casual head but done as WOTD methinks

If you look at the head in relation to his fingers I'd say that the head is 1/4 scale.

I'd far rather have another EB Bruce than I would an HT one right now. The reason is that EB would continue to develop the body whereas HT will stick with the DX body. Only moments ago I had to pick my ETD Bruce up off the floor. Take a wild one why..

Yes, those dumbell ankles again! It spontaneously pivoted on them and down he went! With ever more expensive and well painted figures on offer HT really are going to have to take a serious look at replacing that ankle system. The latest EB bodies blow them into the weeds in terms of sturdiness and ablility to stand. Even the BL3.5 held it's own over the DX.

If EB do more Brucies in the coming years they will be THE ones to look out for.

:lol I'm playin'

My HT BL figure isn't really known for falling down. I'm not saying it hasn't fallen down, but it's not like constantly fallking down. Maybe it was the wide leg battle pose it was in. I can picture it being less stable in a straight standing pose though. Weak ankles is not a problem that leapt out at me.

I know!

Mine isn't constantly falling down, the fact that it does at all is annoying enough. Figures just shouldn't spontaneously topple no matter what pose they're in.

Tee hee!

The problem is the dumbell shape, the weight transfers from the top ball into the stem, the stem can't take it, the joint gives and down it goes. Figures on stands just look like figures, if they stand on their own they look more like the subjects they depict.

EB nailed it with the RM-5, here, I'll show you:

Look at that wide stance! And now look at the ankle:

There you have a well fixed pin joint at the top, a wide pivot to handle forwards and backwards, but, look at the foot, it's flat to the floor! This is due to a very firm ball and socket joint, the ball is part of the central part of the pivot joint. This makes for a very tight and sturdy joint and one that can take the weight of the rest of the body in any stance. Beat that HT!
