@OSA Thanks man!

@Gung Fu, thanks for sharing those pics, I was actually going to make him full bearded, but decided to go with the picture I included because I had it on my hard disc for soooo long that it was a must, haha, but I actually wasn't going for that particular mustache look, it was more like a combination of 2 or 3 pics. You can see them attached to this reply.

And yes, the sculpting is permanent, haha, but the painting might be able to be retouched.

:hi5:

Great work Cheungkinmen,

It's great to see Bruce with a different look. In the first pic above he does look a bit like Charles Bronson!

Ok for those interested and HAVE the disposable cash Arnie told me he will be making some handmade limited number of Bruce Lee items. ALL of them will be 1:4th works. (1:6th stuff of Bruce Lee he said from now on he will ONLY make for Hot Toys)
The 1:4th items are Bruce Lee from:

1) Way of The Dragon
2) Enter The Dragon
3) Game of Death

Each will be numbered individually and will be a limited run of 5 pieces only from each of the movies I stated. Now the whopper, each costs $5000 :horror
(at this point I kept silent for 10 seconds and although I tried to resist it but still ended up asking 'will that include shipping'...

as expected I got no answer from him :lol )

For 5k he can keep them :cuckoo:

same here 5K each:thud:

Sod that!

I'd rather hear which 1/6 ones he can do for HT.

well my entire bruce collection 11 1/6th and 2 1/4 wouldnt be worth 5k..so over to you rich people ;)
but im sure they will sell

So I guess you guys arent that mad, after all:lol

I agree, $5K is too much.

$1k is reasonable though, considering these are handmade by the artist himself.

I myself would have saved up to get one, an original Arnie Kim handmade 1:6th Bruce Lee would be worth it... but 5k!! :horror

I can see only someone as passionate as Hector Martinez buying it...

Don't really know where to put this. Since this is the general BL thread here it goes.

This is just a casual MOD on a Hot Toys Bruce Lee. I always liked the picture of him with a mustache, because back then I didn't know Bruce sported one and caught by surprise.

Hope you like it.

Love it! Awesome!
I keep hoping that Hot Toys next figure with the new muscle body will be that picture. ...probably not though since the first 2 casual ones didn't seem to sell that well.

By the way, I finally got back to collecting some Bruce Lee non-figure items just now as I just pre-ordered two of the "Expanded Version of 'Tao of Jeet Kune Do' Limited Edition Package" - in case anyone is interested. It is a re-release of "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" in a revisited and expanded version, how ever the twist here with the Limited Edition Package (to only 150): Signed (by Shannon Lee - Bruce's daughter) and numbered "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" book (1 to 150), a certificate of authenticity, a signed print of the book cover by Linda Lee (Bruce's widow), two replica pages of my Bruce’s handwritten notes from "The Commentary on The Martial Way" (the source for the "Tao of Jeet Kune Do") and the December 2011 Issue of "Black Belt" Magazine (which will be a "Bruce Lee Special" issue) - all this for a hundred bucks each (free shipping when ordering over US$125 within USA and International).

...or "Tao of Jeet Kun Do" as Y4NK33 would have it.... :gah:

I just saw this. I'll definitely grab the expanded revised edition since my copy is now 20 years old and not exactly minty fresh its been read so many times :lol

But the 'collectors' edition? ...meh ...if they actually included something good I'd consider it...hell I'd pay $150 if they had a limited hardcover slipcase edition (which I had assumed they would...kind of obvious). But the extras are very lame.

Hes good, but not $5K good IMO.

Look at Kojun's Carlito, its out of this world, and he priced it at $1K.

I think all the praises and magazine articles must have made him think his work is worth $5K.:slap

Hey SAB !

Good to see you back here again

They actually did release a limited number (500 copies) of a hard cover a few years ago for US$100. For the US$100 (not US$150 that I think you are mistakenly pricing this set) is actually a good deal considering you getting a book that is already priced US$26.95, and the extra stuff you get are not lame in my opinion - but maybe that's just me.

How ever had they enclosed a lamp shade or the "Bruce Lee Celebriduck" (a plastic duck figure of Bruce which I think is an insult, especially since it is actually being offered in the store section of official brucelee.com web site.................. Not sure what Shannon is thinking when she listed that, or even licensed it.....) it would have been very lame...
