i tried the MMA route. but the hip/leg joints put me off too much.really needs a complete seamlees body i think..but see what you think
oh talking about the DXsculpt.im gonna try and put it on my RM-X (when i get it from yank thanks mate ;0)
but i heard the neck peg may need modding.so i tried the HTsmiley and that fitted great..you guys know if the HT neck pegs are the same size ??

I've seen pics of him like that and the leg joints are a bit off-putting.

Yeah that's my issue in my head atm. I'll see what I can do to hide that as best I can :)

It might look a bit like this:

Yeah, you put them on under the jumpsuit or the pants. I think it's supposed to make the hip joints look better. I haven't noticed much difference.

Ok for those interested and HAVE the disposable cash Arnie told me he will be making some handmade limited number of Bruce Lee items. ALL of them will be 1:4th works. (1:6th stuff of Bruce Lee he said from now on he will ONLY make for Hot Toys)
The 1:4th items are Bruce Lee from:

1) Way of The Dragon
2) Enter The Dragon
3) Game of Death

Each will be numbered individually and will be a limited run of 5 pieces only from each of the movies I stated. Now the whopper, each costs $5000 :horror
(at this point I kept silent for 10 seconds and although I tried to resist it but still ended up asking 'will that include shipping'...

as expected I got no answer from him :lol )

For 5k the 1/4 should be fully articulated, and teach you Jeet Kun Do & Wing Chun in Bruce Lee's voice. Then it should spar with you afterwards.

I'm sure there will be buyers, because he's such a big talent.

I guess some people would think the same as us spending over $100 - $200 on HT figures. Most probably want the figs to do the house work.:dunno

Really, I've got an articulated Yoda that's about 1/4 scale and he tells stories and teaches you the ways of the force. He must have cost me about £40!

$5k should get you a radio controlled Bruce! Oh and Kareem for the GOD to fight.

I'm sure he'll sell 5 per film. There are 15 people in the world with that much money to burn. Still, comparing $100-200 on 1/6 to $5,000+ on 1/4 is very drastic. For the cost of a single statue you can procure entire lines of 1/6 figures :lol

That's why I can't understand why some people ridicule the prices of art pieces when they can't understand the artist's concept.

Why can't a 1/4 piece be $5k when a bed can be sold as art for over $150k?

But yeah I love the have 5k to spend on 1/6 figs. :)

well my entire bruce collection 11 1/6th and 2 1/4 wouldnt be worth 5k..so over to you rich people ;)
but im sure they will sell

Blablablabla... Jeet Kun Do ...blablbabbblablabla....

That's Jeet KunE Do - thank you very much !

By the way, I finally got back to collecting some Bruce Lee non-figure items just now as I just pre-ordered two of the "Expanded Version of 'Tao of Jeet Kune Do' Limited Edition Package" - in case anyone is interested. It is a re-release of "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" in a revisited and expanded version, how ever the twist here with the Limited Edition Package (to only 150): Signed (by Shannon Lee - Bruce's daughter) and numbered "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" book (1 to 150), a certificate of authenticity, a signed print of the book cover by Linda Lee (Bruce's widow), two replica pages of my Bruce’s handwritten notes from "The Commentary on The Martial Way" (the source for the "Tao of Jeet Kune Do") and the December 2011 Issue of "Black Belt" Magazine (which will be a "Bruce Lee Special" issue) - all this for a hundred bucks each (free shipping when ordering over US$125 within USA and International).

...or "Tao of Jeet Kun Do" as Y4NK33 would have it.... :gah:

Don't really know where to put this. Since this is the general BL thread here it goes.

This is just a casual MOD on a Hot Toys Bruce Lee. I always liked the picture of him with a mustache, because back then I didn't know Bruce sported one and caught by surprise.

Hope you like it.

Cheungkinmen !

Great creative twist on this HT Smiling head ! I love the mustache and light beard - though if it is okay to give a little humble suggestion as feedback ? In my opinion I would tone the mustache down a little bit. However it is absolutely not wrong, as he did have a full thick mustache in a few pictures - even without the beard (need to dig them up from my harddisc if anyone is interested).

Is the mustache on this custom smiling head permanent or can you adjust/remove it ?

Btw, the particular photograph of Bruce Lee you have on your screen in the background was taken just outside the entrance to his home at 41 Cumberland Road (his last home) in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.

I have seen a couple of shots of Bruce when he has not shaven at all, and it is kind of weird to look at him with facial hair:
