Open mouth just enough to convey he's up to something, probably up to no good. But not open mouth to convey he is laughing or is joyous.

In that case I would agree, afterall, he's suppose to be a mischievous character.

Exactly. The problem with the Cannibal and DX heads is they sculpt the left side of his mouth such that he looks like he's smiling. Jack smirks, and it most of the lip expression should be kept to just one side to look right.

I think EB may have even used that photo as reference for their sculpt. I'm eager to see more photos of it to see if it's truly lighting or their sculpt that's causing the evil qualities in their preview shot.

I never have either. And if something comes up, like if you missed your payment deadline, just call them with a sob story and 9 out of 10 times they'll wave it as long as you don't make a habit of it.

I'll probably get it regardless though, haha.
I won't even have to worry about budgeting for him this year, at least.

I do hate to say it, but the only thing I like better about EB's is that cloth scarf.

Regardless, I really doubt that this will be the only DX Captain Jack that HT is going to. I think they're going to release another, and we'll probably get some different portraits with that.

Just here in one of our local shop who also happens to be a official distributors of HT. Together w/ Jack, I also PO Sweeney this afternoon for $184 shipped..it's a great price I believe.

There's also a much cheaper PO price for Jack here for $210 shipped but unfortunately it's a cash advance so I just go w/ the other one ($225 shipped) that only requires a deposit.

Hmm yup, your best bet to have that long telescope included is to order in a US market particularly SS or CSC. For reassurance, better email them first & ask them if they'll include the exclusive long telescope eventhough you're from Germany.

Is that 100% true? If so I shall be cancelling my SS pre order.
What's the point of that then? I thought the point of an exclusive was to get everyone to order from official sources? There are no official sources in Europe so who loses? I will stick with my Japanese dealer then.

By the way I think the telescope is pretty terrible but it's the principle of the thing!

UPDATE ON THE TELESCOPE!
USA retailers (authorized SSC retailers) can ONLY sell the Exclusive Version (with the long telescope) to USA customers. We can ONLY ship the non-exclusive (no long telescope) version internationally.

It's unfortunate but true.

US retailers will be breaking distribution agreements with Hot Toys and SSC if they sell the long telescope version to anyone outside of the US.

Likewise, the Japanese retailers will need to follow the same rules.

Just like Darth Madden suggested, if you have friends/relatives in either country, have them purchase the exclusive version then ship it to you.

Then there's ebay. ebay prices.

Hot Toys has managed to piss off almost their entire international customer base.

I don't mind not being able to get the telescope. Now I don't have to worry about ordering from one of the US sellers.

I'm in Australia, its cheaper and faster to buy directly from the Chinese/HK sellers.
