Don't wanna sound like a hater here, but..
This isn't the same as previous exclusives. People outside the US can order the figure from SS, but they won't be sent the exclusive item. Why?
Don't allow international orders then! ~Don't take our money and then slap us in the face!
Terrible bit of PR if you ask me. I normally order from Loonten or Toys2, this was my first SS pre-order. Now I have cancelled it, and ordered from Loonten. I'm happy, cheaper and faster to Europe.
I probably won't give them (SS) another shot.
I know people will say, "so what, get over it" and thats cool. I actually couldn't give a damn except on principal of what they have done. No one likes to be deliberately excluded out of anything. Do they? I have no issues with the recent MJ/Scarecrow HK exclusives for example. Thats just part of collecting. This though is a company (SS) who encourage international orders, but then exclude part of their customer base? For a dodgy piece of plastic, surely this is very bad business practice?
I would love someone to give me a rational reason why they would do this?
Rational Reason: MONEY.
Thats all they care about...is money. I love Hot Toys and have been collecting them for a long time. But lets be honest...the more popular they get, the more stupid things they do. Why are figures that are worth $170 at best going for well over $200 now? Greed is the answer. All the exclusive crap they do is just for hype and to make money. I for one think it's stupid...but its their decisions. We cant do anything about them. If we want these exclusive items, we'll have to pay the extra money or get over it. That's all we can do.
