A non-answer for everything. Yep, that pretty much sums up the whole thing. See y'all next month for the next one.

People of opposing gun ownership views aren't going to change each others' minds. No point in arguing about it on here of all places.

What a nightmare. At least one person I know was killed, as was his boyfriend, and a couple others I know are unaccounted for. I never in a million years thought this would happen someplace that I called home. My heart hasn't felt so heavy since 9/11.
Very sorry for your loss.

''Civilian'' AR-15 <- That the word ''civilian'' can be paired with the name of any gun whatsoever is utterly bizarre to most people outside America. It is seriously unreal to us.
As I think you know, I live in the U.S. and it's bizarre to me too. I wish things were different.

**** happens, you just gotta hope your not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Having said that though, the people murdered where in the right place at the right time, but the loser who killed them was not.

I don't think there is a real solution to the problem. Unless, a very rich and powerful man fools the world that there's an alien invasion, thus uniting the human race as one...wait that sounds familiar.

I absolutely believe in someone's right to own a gun but you have to be reasonable about it.

Is there anyone who will defend people on the no fly list being able to legally buy a gun? Will anyone take up that cause? The logic is if you're too dangerous to get on a plane then you're too dangerous to own a gun. I think that makes sense.

True, but at the same time that guy worked for a security company and because of that he probably had gun permit, so how do you stop that if the guy's job gives him access, just like that other Muslim U.S. soldier that killed those people a few years ago. Dude was a soldier.

Everyone has an opinion, but I'm 10000000% sure that said opinion would drastically change once something like this happens to a loved one.

I really hope it doesn't, be safe out there SSf's.

Sad day.... Let our thoughts and yes prayers go out to the victims and families affected

Sorry for your loss, agen! :(

How many people can a pencil kill in a short amount of time before the person behind the attacks are stopped?

You really think a pencil could do this attack? With this logic, everything is a weapon. Lamps, xbox controllers, statues, a diecast Iron Man Hot Toy.

Founding fathers created the second amendment on the basis that majority of guns were single shot muskets, pistols, and long rifles. Majority of which were dual purposed for war and hunting. Guns were a way of life... back then. I doubt if they could see the destruction modern guns do today and the purpose they are used for, that they would have passed the second amendment.

Second chance to ban guns was in the 60s when JFK was pushing for some form of it. That didn't happen.

Pretty much impossible to do anything about it now. Guns carried by public citizens, to my knowledge, have never stopped a mass shooter before, so I don't understand the point of carrying them. I would bet guns carried by public citizens have done more harm than good as well.

Holy ****.

It was just a comparison of "assault rifles" to hunting rifles.

We already have the answer to that. At the very least, 3 people... if the killer is this man.
