V1 is great, no doubt. The coat alone is brilliantly made. And Jack always needs that hat.

The down side is that Jack towers over other figures in the line so far. Curious how he'll stack up against Davy. Also curious if Cannibal Jack will be reduced to proper scale. If so, then I really do need to grab V2 for a body swap and that Smilin' Jack sculpt.

Ohh they do, Im something of a thorn in the side of Housing down here. Actually Im getting one of the Die Hard 4.0 Bruce Willis figures... maybe Ill sell it off to fund getting the Jack Sparrow.

I have been waiting for a definative 12 inch Davy Jones since I 1st saw him 2 summers ago. Hot Toys really is amazing and I am sure they made the right choice of the design.

I have a feeling V2 Jack will be the same body, going but the way the clothes sit on him, if it were a smaller body his clothes would be baggier. I'm hoping that Sideshow's new bodies have height ranges and are interchangeable with Hot Toys parts, then I could put Jack on one of their shorties and hopefully the shoulders wouldn't be so wide either.

That would be awsome and you are probably right about jack being the same height. I can't see Hot Toys making a complete set of new clothes to accomidate a smaller body.

It's the same style, but it sits lower on the Cannibal Jack proto. It also sat lower on the AWE proto, but on the production figure it ended up under his armpit instead of his hip.

Done, good spot, i forgot I had a list going.

This line really is growing, and I can see it going for a good while. The characters and costumes in the POTC films are so diverse and eccentric, I think there will be more appeal than some of the other lines HT has done like Rocky and Rambo which are healthy but don't thrive. Not to mention, POTC has great international box office ratings, so I think the global market is bigger. I sure hope so, this is my favorite figure line after Star Wars.

The HT site says Davy is 30 cm. That a little less that a foot. If so, Davy and Jack will be the same height. Problem.

I need Sao's shorter body for my Jack.
