What I really like about PI other than overall proportions is that it has that 'compact' look that the original suit has. Especally, the vertical gap between the Chest RT and the Helmet.

^its has a slight radius and im pretty sure its slightly taller then the HT hall of armor.

PI told us that they made the figures using the 3D model from the movie, so maybe it will be more accurate than HT, but will definitely sacrifice some articulation. like the head can't look up.
luckily this not an issue for me, because i definitely won't pose him in extreme pose because of the weight

PI is indeed more shiny and gloosy. Colour is brigther. HT is a bit darker with very-very soft purple tone.
About the soft material in the arm, this one is annoying, this rubber prevent the arm to fold maximum. I have to hold it if I want to fold it completely. And still not as deep as PI arm can go. PI arm hinge is consist of two hinge points. This design makes it more poseable, and very stable/firm.
But PI neck is annoying, head movement is limited, cannot look up/above. Thigh articulation is better than HT. HT fingers, knee and ankle articulation is better.
PI is a bit overprice. But after you hold the figure in your hand and feel the weight and feeling of the material, the colour and glossy paint, the shape. You will feel a very big temptation to have it. So heavy that you can say this is "iron" man.

I had that feeling after holding the PI Batman months ago in my hands, and still do. But I already have the HT so I'm good but you're right, and the info on articulation is appreciated.

just got an email from PI. the second batch of 1/6 mark vii has come out.
my local retailer guarenteed that I can return faulty product to him free of charge. apparently this is a new PI policy.

PI after sales service was pretty solid. Emailed them about a paint smudge at the top of mk 7's battery cover. They mailed me the replacement without much query.

On the fence with this guy. Found a good buy on him for 499 but the hot toys is a bit less however I love the die cast and the area around the neck. I'm gonna be mad if hot toys comes out with a die cast mark vii though I doubt it would be any time soon and if it was would they fix the neck area... man I hate decisions.
