looks like its an even cut both sides of the rod, just saw off 1 cm each end then file the flat section 1 cm each side, will take you all of 3-5 mins, defently no need to send this back if you dont like the floating alien

It's just one of those things where you pay $600 and shouldn't have to cut things to make it look like it was advertised. It's not a big deal at the end of the day but it's something i would be embaressed to let leave my establisment if i was SS. Either they received them and never checked them for fit and finish or they did and pretty much said Oh well too bad. Either way isn't good.

if its metal its easy, just cut it with a metal saw, you can buy them in cheap shops usually if you dont have one for 99p

yep, it wont take more than 10 seconds to do that, and you wont notice anything, and it will end up looking better, easy fix for sure :monkey3

Good Heavens!!!! :horror

I just punched in the numbers on FedEx's website and mine came out to 115.92 , it was like $500 for overnight ! I am on the east coast.

Time to hunt down a local/alternate source!

I can buy a whole other item with that money.

Congrats to some wait-lister! :)

yep, got that e-mail here too. I was thinking $30-$40 max. so, i have to decide if the extra $75 for shipping is worth it to me.

buying it here does get me 600 points - worth about $30 on other SS items. that makes $45 i now need to justify.

good grief, i have over 3000 points right now!

There are a couple on ebay as well, with shipping ranging from free :)horror) to $60. Factor in Live/bing $48 back, plus $12 ebay bucks, and you can get one for as low as $530... SHIPPED, thats $185 in savings for US buyers...

$45 just becuase it is oversized.

Greetings all. Just received my Queen Facehugger today. This thing is a monster. It's Huge!!! The base is ginormous too. My Facehugger's feet don't touch the base either. I would be a little leary if they did though because I'd be afraid that It might damage one of the tips of the fingers or perhaps scratch the base. This thing is quite heavy. Just my 2 cents though. A very impressive piece. I've also posted a comparison shot next to my Neca 18" Alien.
