People can say what they want about likeness, but anyone saying that isn't an amazing sculpt in regards to being a small human face can go piss up a rope. This man has amazing skills. The subtle skin texture and softness of the flesh. Brilliant!
Others may capture a likeness but very few can achieve this level of life to a sculpt.

True dat. The man certainly has an amazing talent and you would be hard pressed to find someone that can sculpt a head as well as he can!

Just posted on Rainman's facebook.

Just noticed it doesn't have sculpted hair, real hair perhaps!? Im curious to see that if so!

Seems everyone else glanced over this... but it seems Rainman reduced the length of the neck. Hopefully it'll help make him similar in height to Vince!

I see subtle tweaks in the cheek area and the nose looks a little flatter and tip reduced. I was already fine with it but am sure the changes will only make it better. I may be one of the few hoping for a change-o hair option between "real" and sculpted. The fact that he's bald means there still might be a chance. Am glad I picked up a full set.

I'm glad that he agreed on the frown line suggestions. That was the main thing that was demoting this sculpt. That alone is a HUGE improvement (Iminime's Corrupt Detective has a bit of the same issue. It seems that they want to turn the frown lines away from the goatee when they should be turned downward toward the chin and into the goatee. Turning the frown lines toward the ears to dodge the goatee really takes away from likeness).

He has the eyes circled but I don't see much difference. I was hoping that the eyes were going to get addressed as he said.

Well, I had stated several times that I was happy with the first one, so I don't really care. Improvements were welcome but it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Fairly minor tweak on the order of what he did to Lector. I don't see this changing opinions very much, but if it does in a positive direction then that's great. I'm most interested in the shortened neck. If that makes the height differential less noticeable with Vince, then I'm for it. Too bad he didn't take a pic with the two guys together.

No? I see this as a pretty major change for the better. He took the puffy appearance away from the check (under the eyes/next to the nose) and turned the fown lines more vertically as they were more horizontal. Not only is it an improvement in achieving likeness but it respects general human anatomy better. This portion of the first attempt was very unnatural looking and honestly I'm surprised that with all Rainman's talent he even revealed that as final in the first place.

As far as the eyes, it's slight but slight can go a long way in 1/6. A mm can be a big difference on certin aspects of a sculpt.

Whether its a height thing or not it looks like a good move to cut the neck. Both of these still need a neck plug so the former would have ended up being giraffe necked.

It is an improvement, but that fullset is still in stock. If it was seen as a drastic improvement I think it would have been gobbled up immediately.

I think the lack of movement on the fullset has more to due with the nature of the release being light on accessories and intricacy. After all it is just a man in a suit. THe H&C set has that covered for about $350 less.

Maybe if the briefcase had been an additionally offered item.
