Well, Stallone looks at how Rambo demolished whole armies alone in 2 and 3 as a bit of egotism on his part and the mercenaries was a step back towards realism. Rambo is still more cunning and dangerous than the average soldier, but his limits are grounded in reality. Taking out a 6 man police squad wasn't out of the range of realism. Knocking out and entire Vietnamese army he regards as a bit over the top.

My only issue with a 5th right now is the closing of 4 was absolutely perfect, very fitting for the character and visually perfect to start and end the story with the same action and music.

i know...i thought that was it for Rambo cuz it ended like it started which was very cool....the end of pt4 gave me goosebumps man!

:lol Oh you never sell off Reese, somehow he ends up back in your collection! Trust me I know! :D

dude, im seriously thinking of getting Reese again. you know was ticks me off? i got him at a really good price. $125.00 more or less trough an ebay auction.

Indeed, I got the score before I saw the movie and when I heard the track that was the end of the movie, I just started thinking man this would be a great close to the film track being exactly like the opening to First Blood, and sure enough. The last 5 minutes of the movie are awesome, the music as he surveys the battle scene in the end leading into the First Blood music are my favorite parts.

yeah the score is great. i liked those parts as well and also the end of first blood when Trautman is escorting Rambo out of the police station.

The way he did it in Rambo 2 isnt overdone,it wasnt like he stood in front of the entire army at once and killed them off, except the part the prisoners entered the chopper and Rambo stood there shooting.

"^^^^`em" scene in Rambo 3 is a different story though:lol

No, I half-assed made my own Rocky Balboa tracks, including the mix of Take You Back and Adrian's theme from the opening. The one I cut that did turn out pretty good for cutting it myself was the music from Rocky retracing his steps with Adrian, I just love the mix of music and dialogue from that scene, I wanted to have it but it's like 3 tracks mixed together so I made it on my own.

Have you ever heard the "Best of Rocky" score? The songs are well put together with Dialogues from the movies, for example the "Eye Of the Tiger" song ends with Adrian saying "Come here, there is one thing i need you to do for me" and then the next song which is "Going the distance" starts with Adrians "Win".

This goes over the entire score,if you havent heard this one yet,go pick it up.

It's a hard buy for me, I've bought several Rocky soundtracks and tracked down a few rare pieces from online to have all the music and I'm just not sure I want to buy another copy for a few differences from what I have.

This is my Rocky music collection.

Where did you get those Rocky Balboa songs from?I never thought they were available.I thought the cd that came out with the movie was "The Best of Rocky" that has the Rocky on top of stairs in Rocky balboa cover.

If you download music from the net,"Best of Rocky" is easy to get,the sound is better too, refreshed and sounds ALOT better.

I do have the 1-5 individual scores but never thought Balboa was ever released.

There is no official Rocky Balboa score, I just took the music from the previous 5 and used a program on my computer to make them all.

ahhhh alright,i hate when things like this is forgotten, same with deleted scenes and such. They added the worst track of them all on the best of score, the Entrance song of Dixon "Its a fight" which is the only one from Balboa on this score.

The Fanfare from the Rocky Balboa opening is the coolest one of them ALL!

Ya, sadly, I think the assumption was since most of the RB music is rehashed from older tracks, why release the updates, but there is no single track in RB that is exactly like the older pieces, so that sucks. Hell, I like the modern Gonna Fly Now a lot.

yeah like i said a few posts earlier, the Fanfare and Gonna Fly now is 2 tracks i would love to own.

Sometimes i just shoot in the Rocky balboa Blu-Ray and full surround just to see the opening with the fanfare, hehe.

This movie is so great with surround, the training with "Gonna Fly now" is awesome, you can clearly hear the echo effect, better than anything else ive heard so far in a movie.

Lets put it this way,i hated Ironman when i first watched it,but after i got the surround system not too long ago i thought i should test ironman again, now i love it because of the amazing HD sound.

And you can only imagine how much i enjoy Rambo IV every time i watch it:lol

I bet, one of my favorite things in the theater was how powerful the big ass machine gun sounded, not so much on standard speakers.
