A movie called Godzilla with hardly any Godzilla? No way.

That's like making Batman in 1989 and having it 85% Joker. Oh wait......

Yea just like a movie called jaws the shark is hardly in it predator was hardly in his film the alien was hardly in alien oh but they don't count do they? Movie goers expect to much nowadays.

Haven't seen Godzilla yet, but this man makes a good point!

most of the "classics" would be ripped to shreds if released today... :monkey1

Godzilla - 7/10 - Def needed more Godzilla, first 30 min could have been completely cut out of it...character development not required.
The Other Woman - 8/10 - Funny chick flick and Leslie Mann is so so so cute.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Could have just started with Cranston's son getting ready to make the drop.

Godzilla: Tokyo SOS - 9/10

Rating this as a Goji film. Just got the new series of Blu-Rays in from Amazon and this is the first movie I revisited. Excellent soundtrack, the human element was entertaining enough (I actually could've even used a bit more), great fights, interesting premise (another man vs. nature guilt trip -- classic), and just enough cheesiness thrown in.

The Matrix - 10/10: In my opinion, not only is this the greatest movie in its genre, but its one of the greatest movies of all time.

The Matrix Reloaded - 9/10: Not as tight as the first movie, and some pacing problems, but all in all I think this is one of the best science fictions stories ever told.

The Matrix Revolutions - 8/10: Some cheesy scenes, and man Agent Smith’s evil laugh was just cringe worthy, but I love that the W-Siblings decided to end this on a unique note, they had a specific story they wanted to tell and they didn’t sell out.

The sequels definitely weren’t made for everyone, and requires multiple viewing to really understand and grasp what the Wachowski siblings were trying to tell.

Matrix Reloaded is an underrated sequel. I enjoyed the ride and thought the new ideas being brought up were cool. Matrix Revolutions was awful. So awful. And since Reloaded ended on a cliffhanger, it becomes a waste of time to watch in my opinion knowing there's no satisfying conclusion. The original is an awesome movie. Wish they'd either stopped there or had come up with a better part 3....

A bit more human element?
You mean, like Final Wars more?
No thank you.

Personally I love Revolutions, they really threw a ton of philosophical themes, and left a lot open to be interpreted, but I always thought it closed out the series perfectly. I get why most hated it though, tonally it feels so different from its predecessors, its dark, bleak, and at times depressing, but by the end it all comes together perfectly in my opinion.

Still I get why most hated it, so I’m not trying to convince anybody of anything, but for me, the whole trilogy really works, and are more than just cool action films.

I’m actually hoping the rumors are true and the Wachowski’s are indeed working on a new prequel trilogy. The franchise has some real untapped potential, especially with technology these days.

Breaking Bad full series: 9/10
Great show. I have found that it resonates more as the time goes by. I find myself thinking about it and the ending days after I watched it. It really affected me for the long haul and I feel such sympathy and sadness for the characters, especially J. I watched it all in one shot over the course of a couple of months through Netflix, so I can't imagine how excruciating it would have been to have to wait through the long breaks between seasons. I could barely wait from one disc to the next! Thoroughly enjoyed it, but I don't know if I could watch it again. Only re-watching specific episodes also seems like I would be robbing myself of the larger experience.

Justice League War

A forgettable, yet slickly executed action spectacle with paper thin, unlikeable characters and a bare bones plot. After an hour, I was still waiting for the movie to start. If you want a good Justice League introduction, look no further than the first episode of Bruce Timm's sublime 2001 series and forget this ever existed.

3/10.
