For the love of god, guys, it's "could have". Or, you can write "could've", if you want to use a contraction. There's no "could of". Stop doing this, it's annoying.

Carry on :monkey3.

It's a step in the right direction for the franchise. It's scary and the atmosphere is great. It's just not perfect right now. I wanted more after the game ended. Way to short imo.

Give me zombies and no first person, or make it an option. :lol Is there any replay value?

really? I loved the ship section. Thought it was quite atmospheric. Enjoyed seeing the origin of the outbreak. Only criticism for me is the lack of enemy variants. I thought we would get 'runner' like moulded after the trailer last year but I was disappointed to only have fat, crawler and normal moulded.

I'll give you a reply once I finish it, probably today.

Once you realize the lack of enemy variety...and start to learn their patterns and what areas they're limited to, the tension quickly fades...I was kind of hoping the enemies would have no limits to what rooms they could go into. except maybe the save rooms...but it turns out that wasn't the case.

I keep saying it, but it is definitely constructed like the Mansion and Guardhouse progression like RE1 was... just the SAME monsters albeit slightly different is really dull. And frankly, the family for the most part is boring.

Just finished it... wow I ****ing hated it. I think this beat out Zero and Code Veronica as being the worst game of the main series for me.

I'm extremely worried about REmake 2 now.

He already had zombies in the last two games, plus cowboy Freddy Krueger :lol
But he claims they weren't zombies and found the concept of Metal Gear Survive's zombies ludicrous :lol

While everyone is playing RE7, I'm sitting here broke without a copy....

Really? Come on now. Is that the inner RE fan talking or have the nanomachines taken over? Put him in containment! :lecture

They nailed the atmosphere and at least it's a fresh new direction for the series since 4. I expect the next game to be a top-down RTS or a card game. :lol

Hate to admit it, but you have a point there. Once you learn their patterns and weak spots, provided you got enough ammo saved up it takes most of the tension away when your exploring places.

Which really hurts this game. This game would of been perfect if it had way more enemy variety. The bakers are cool but everything else is meh. Why can't capcom just stick with one fodder monster? I'm tired of them switching it up.

The game is very good but it should of had way more things in it. Once you get all your weapons the molded aren't even a threat.

Don't know if this counts as a spoiler or not so don't read past this if you haven't played .

How do you not have dogs in a main resident evil title!!! Even the horrid 6 had dogs and or some type of animal.

Now that you mention it, its weird that so far I have not encountered any dogs or animal infected outside of the Mother levels in the old house and greenhouse areas. You would think living on a farm like property they would have had at least a few dogs as guards.

True. Its teeming with wildlife and gods knows what else. Capcom could of had a field day with that area alone.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the mystery is a great motivation to play the game...but once you start discovering things it starts to lose it's magic...I think once you fight
marguerite
it starts to go down hill a little bit.

And yeah without the monster variety, there's no sense of "what's that?! omg how do I fight that lemme run away real quick and gather my emotions!" It's just "oh another molded...ok lemme just close this door and despawn you..." I mean **** there's a moment where you're back in the house in the main haul and those two Molded spawn upstairs and there's sooo much room to maneuver not to mention they always spawn upstairs and you have plenty of time to wait for them to start coming down the stairs before you just go up the other flight of stairs completely avoiding them...it was at that point where I really felt the fear "go away" it became..alright these guys are dumb now.

There's a few moments with those crawling molded where you hear them running towards you, but don't know which direction they're coming from...I felt the "oh **** oh ****" feeling that was nice...but there weren't enough of those moments and at that point I had so much ammo it was a quick shot gun blast to the head and I kept it moving.

The game at that point also started to feel like a budget title. 4 enemy type, relatively simple AI...small game maps...

I still feel like I enjoyed the game though. It's a step in the right direction for sure, but needs some changes to refine it.

I'll give you a reply once I finish it, probably today.

I really hope RE2make isnt made in this style....pleeeeease no

That sucks, I didn't hate it, but i definitely ended the game with a "sigh" of disappointment. As I was saying, the first half of the game is really intriguing but the last half
why another giant uroboros monster? in the first game it's just a big imposing as **** Tyrant...why do they feel the need to make it a bigger and better kaiju monster. Bring it back down to the ground a little. Make the fight intimate, it doesn't need to be a big event. The last fight is supposed to be a culmination of everything you learned throughout the game. How you maneuver an enemy, how you resource supples etc... Why was I saving all my ammo for the last fight when the last fight is essentially a cutscene? it's just a bummer.

and what the hell is capcoms obsession with BOATS! Ever since RE5 it's always boats boats boats...heres a ****ing level in a boat. stop with the boats!

Hopefully that DLC advert at the end of the game expends and connects this game more with the established REverse. and gives more insight into that certain character at the end...We'll see

I caved in and bought myself a copy of re 7, its kliling me to play, its also annoying as hell to know that i cant speed run the game with prior knowledge as the boss fights are random, and the " mia " tape if you try to speed run then... teleports to your location and instantly makes you fail the mission. But atleast i found a book wrote by Clive O'brian the guy from Revelations 1 who decided to write detective novels in the Bakers house.

So, basically in here with one eye closed (for fear of spoilers) and can say that I am very much enjoying the game. But, it's not one I can play for 7 hours straight. After and hour or maybe 90 min, I need a break. Love how this game is a big departure from the prior games.

If you had told me this was Outlast 2, I would have believed you. Not a criticism, but Capcom embraced the horror in this one!

For speed runs and tougher difficulties. Other than that not really. I found all I needed to find.

Damn sorry you hated it. Capcom is heading in a good direction for sure but it's just that this game should have been a tiny bit better.

I think Code Veronica is up there with the best RE, and 0 has its moments so i dno about putting it down there with the lows. But i dno about Re 7. Ill take it, its very interesting. Lots of interesting stuff to take away from the game. Some things in the right direction, some things not. Ironically, i think it has no replay value all though i am replaying it.

You could save somebody playing the game with a 3 minute description and explanation of the game in more than they would gather in 11 hours. And you cant sort of jusify saying well its fun to play, it isnt. Asmuch as Re 6 sucked ***, you cant say it didnt atleast play well. Even if the core game sucked you could play mercs for 200 hours.

But for years, and ill preach it now. The revelations games are modern RE. Rev 1 & 2 should of been what followed Code Veronica.

I'm trying to figure out what's missing.

You're in a creepy mansion. There's a biohazard outbreak. A strange conspiracy. People who aren't what they say they are.

All things that made up the original...but this game doesn't match it.

Its a walking simulator, literally. Theres no controls thats came to be expected from this style of game in the last 3 years. It just doesnt play like a modern game. Its got the settings atmosphere and story of a 1998 resident evil, with 2017 graphics and 2008 tech demo gameplay.
