Wow so this is almost a full year from actually seeing the light of day? People find this acceptable? Seriously, if Josh's estimate of Q4 is correct, and it likely isn't far off since delays are very common, then all sorts of things can happen between now and then. I've gotten into and out of complete hobbies in that time frame ;)

Its possible. I'm just guessing but if it takes a year to make sure this is as awesome as it should be its not an issue. You may not remember but the original Sauron statue took a year to get out.

It's good that they are taking their time to get these right. The paint up will make or break this wonderful piece.

True it shouldn't be rushed but I thought the business model would allow them to close the gap between initial tease, pre-order and shipment. I have read on other statue posts that the wait is over 2 years. I think the Battle of Crete paratrooper is even longer. That's crazy.

That did take a while but they used a totally new method to make that one. So I'm not shocked it probably went through some trial and error.

Am I the only one pleased that they are taking extra time with this and have pushed back the release date?

Is there any evidence at all that postponing pieces makes them better? I highly doubt any of these delay have anything to do with QC and more to do with production schedules being pushed back in the factories in China.

According to the ssc site, this statue is still pending approval from the licensor.

To be fair, moving it from June to the 3rd quarter may only mean a one month delay. July is technically the first month of the 3rd quarter.

I'm sure, when all is said and done, it'll probably be more than a month delay (it's a big complex piece and Sideshow has a history of such delays), but this may not be too much of a bump in the road just yet.

Depends on SSC's quarters. For those I work for, quarter 1 is April-June
