The German soldier PF uses a new skin texture for the sculpt, and took a while to get it out because they had to work on it to make sure it came out right.

no I got that part, but what does any of this have to do with the sauron PF?

last I checked there is no German soldiers in lotr, and sauron doesn't exhibit human skin...

I thought you meant they are using a new paint process to do sauron

Reading the thread people seem happy with it.

If you go back a few pages you will know why we the conversation went there. It is about how thibgs shouldn't be rushed.

My fault, I mentioned the Battle of Crete as an example of a really LONG time to wait between PO and release. I don't know if it even out yet. I think it is close to 3 years IIRC.

Apparently they got the new skin right, but the outfit wrong

As much as I like this guy, not $900+ liking, as I already have the SSWeta version and it is every bit as good. I must say the last 3 items I bought from SS have been homeruns, plus they are very smart in making payment plans on the items, that in its self are a HUGE bonus. SOOOOO looking forward to the TWK to come out, he will look perfect bu the SSW version......
