I'm trying to figure out the shipping charges to Australia for these bad boys.

. You are probably better off getting this from Popcultcha or another local supplier. You can get it for $100 over sideshow retail at the moment which even with reward points added in you won't match with sideshow shipping it here. I am getting the ex in the Rider, I think I can get it from SS direct for less than retail here.
I got great prices for my Lurtz and Uruk exes so it isn't so bad replacing them. Shipping large boxes to Australia tho ....

Anybody knows where I can find this PF on a online store in Canada?
The best I can find is 50$ cheaper than sideshow site. At that price, I should consider ordering from sideshow directly. Shipping will be low, I'll get points and ill pay for only one taxe and some custom fee and customers support will be flawless if something happens.
Even from Canada shipping will be huge, pay both taxes, no reward points. I think it will cost almost the same.

Yeah, I've already looked at Popcultcha. Thing is they have the Rider listed at the same price as Sauron. For Sauron with no EX and only a $100 more that one's a no brainer BUT you have flex on Side show which is tempting.
The Dark Rider is priced at the same as Sauron - $1000 each piece. I've already mailed them to ask if they can do anything but that makes it $200 more than SS and SS reps "think" the shipping will be around $150 for the Dark Rider. Which means I'm saving $50 AND getting the EX for less the retail here.
Even in the event that the shipping for the Dark Rider is $200 that's still the same as Popcultcha but I'm getting the EX.
Decisions....
I'm thinking Dark Rider we are better off through SS and Sauron locally.
That's what I'm doing, sideshow Rider and local Sauron. Popcultcha said they were having a sale for getting 20k likes on facebook in the new year. They will be at 30k probably before it happens but keep an eye out and be patient you may get both cheaper.

They had some awesome sales over X-mas - 12 days. I managed to pick up Sagat statue for $360 shipped since the sale was 25% off all video game merchandise that day.
They probably did have a LOTR sale day but I probably missed it.

Yep, me too ...it would have been a crime to have this bad-boy as an open edition ...makes $900 an even better price for such a great piece.

Man looking at the 2k price of those SS LSF pieces...you could own a 36 inch SS PF Sauron, a 32 inch SS PF Dark Rider of Mordor and have 300 bucks towards a 21 inch Weta Barad-Dur....It makes our stuff well, a bargain!...LOL

That's what I'm gonna do too. I have ordered Dark Rider PF Ex from SS, but will wait and if Sauron PF turns out to be good, I'll get it from Popcultcha coz there's no Ex edition. It's $100 more than Sideshow but you get free shipping in Australia, which would have cost probably $180 or more if from Sideshow, plus probably it's going to be in the $1000 range, you might get customs tax. So yes, I concur with you, if you're in Australia, get Dark Rider PF from SS, and Sauron PF locally.

I think the customs only work on the value of the item. So we just sneak under the $1000 mark without the shipping IF we did need to get it from SS.

What is Popcultcha like to deal with? I've bought a few items through Saga Central but mostly got most of my collection through SS direct or ebay.
If my fellow Aussies recommend them it makes sense to get this bad boy through them.

Ive personally bought the Tron lightcycle and Nick Fury from them and also have the PC Sagat on order. No problems at all, free shipping and good packing. They also give you little E-mail updates like SS.
A little overpriced but whats not in this hobby....
Wish they had a payment plan but they also take PayPal so its easier for me as I sell stuff on Ebay all the time.
Also keeps it under the radar from the mrs.....

I've bought from Popcultcha many times, mostly LOTR statues and Hot Toys. I've never had a problem with them. They provide excellent service, have good communication with customers, and they really pack the goods well and sends them fast. Yeah, I do hope they'd provide a lay-by option though. It's a bit more expensive than when you buy directly from SS but then, they provide free shipping on all Australian orders. Plus, they have 20% sales from time to time so watch their website for that. I was able to purchase a few items from them because of those nice sales!
Overall, Popcultcha is one store I would definitely recommend trying. It's too bad we don't have more of these stores in Australia. I reckon there would be more than I know, but not as big as Popcultcha or those that can provide mail-in orders.
