How about when you look at the Morgul Lord PF, is that pose perfect for him to you?

For the twentieth time......nope.

This is, and always has been the pose I most desire to see in regard to the ML:

And also for the twentieth time, should SS choose not to go with the outstretched arms pose for an eventual ML maquette then I will be very upset. As things stand now, however, I don't have a problem with the pose of the PF.....I like it, although I would be lying if I said it was my idea of the perfect pose.

What would really bother me though, is if SS had produced the outstretched arms pose for the PF, then followed it up with the same pose for the maquette. The idea of same character/similar pose is pointless to me, regardless of the difference in scale. So the ML PF pose is fine with me, and as long as the maquette pose differs from the PF [something which SS has already alluded to] then my ML collection will be varied in both composition and scale, and will make for a much more interesting display......and that will make me very happy. :)

Right personal preference plays a big part. You may get 99 people that think a certain pose fits the subject matter perfectly but 1 person thinks it needs to be more dynamic.

Or 99 people that think a certain pose needs to be more dynamic and person that thinks it fits the subject matter.

Yep, that would have been much better, you semi-passed the control question, only semi-pass due to backpedalling! : P

Makes me want to hit eBay and buy one again, except now they are all Chinese recasts I guess.

I'm curious if the historians can recall a piece, any piece, that did NOT garner negative views on the pose? In the peak I guess too much as coming out to nit pick each piece for months on end in advance of its release, maybe I'm wrong about that.

I highly doubt we'll see Sauron at SDCC. RWoS p.f., MAYBE...

Sauron, probably end of the year.

God, those were the days - 6 busts arriving at once! 2 or 3 statues turning up on my doorstep on the same day. I wonder if that'll happen with The Hobbit.

Would be nice but I doubt we'll ever see those types of days again. Obviously the world's a bit more uncertain now. I also wonder about the product depth. Off the top of my head: Bilbo and Gandalf obviously, Thorin and the other dwarves (do we think they will make all of them?), Elrond, Great Goblin, standard goblins, Wood Elf king, standard wood elf, Bard, warg, Smaug of course, eagle?, Beorn?

This is the best I can do for you azureped :1-1:

Thanks for the pics Bill, on a side note this guy poses better than Sideshow : P Any one of those would have looked better on the ML PF.

Kind of makes the complaints of the SSW skinny legged Sauron void

I agree that this is a great pic, thanks for sharing. As for the legs, not that Sauron was human but I always saw his power as being other worldly rather than brutish. Skinny legs don't bother me, actually I prefer this look to a beefed up comic hero-esque he-man type of look. Hmmm, does this make him more feminine...
