Here's a couple more excellent screenshots of Sauron.

According to my reference shots from on the set, Sauron uses either hand, but in the opening of FOTR, he is using his right hand.In fact, the Weta version has him using his left hand as in my art, so I'd say either hand is correct.

Yeah seems to be that way, when he's holding the ring up or his right fist, he holds the mace up in the left hand. Hope we get an option of displaying the mace up, that would be great! A switch out hand option for Sauron PF will be awesome!

Having a switch out arm for the exclusive will be great along with the print and the print isn't as necessary in this one as people will be more likely to purchase Jerry's awesome limited prints instead.

Yeah, those two are gonna cost a chunk so I would expect a decent amount of time between them.

In all honesty I sure hope so. At least 6 months or even more between those two huge monster PF's especially with the announcement of so many other stuff from other licenses that I would like to get.

A fantastic exclusive would be the sword that Sauron uses in the Aragorn vs. Sauron fight sequence that was originally shot but then abandoned when PJ & Co. (thankfully) changed their minds about having Sauron take physical form in ROTK.

Got a look at the sword in the traveling LOTR museum exhibit several years back. It's just as beautifully designed as his armor! :clap

Sadly, this one's probably going to be too spendy for my budget, but I'm really looking forward to seeing this baby! Gonna be gorgeous! :lecture

Yeah Sauron was to take the form of Annatar in ROTK. In the books Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales (it's been years so I forget which one) Sauron was a good looking bastard.

I just hope the exclusives head falls off an breaks easily! That would complete the circle of Sauron Disasters!

:nana:

YEah still pissed! I wish someone would make "Illegal" copies of the head since Sideshow won't!

considering how expensive their helms alone were, I couldn't imagine how pricey a 1:1 Witch king or Sauron bust would be. I don't see it ever happening, but you never know.

I am looking forward to this.

Is his ring hand going to be raised or his mace hand?

Think it will be somewhat like this TURINS~BANE. :wave

and this tall

Well that was the plan a one point.

Bill

80cm (31inches) just doesnt seem right to me, especially with the Weta one at 61cm (24inches). :dunno

Its not that its small or anything, it just doesnt seem like that big of a difference. And the scaled pic of the Weta statue in the background only drives that point home even more for me... :( ESPECIALLY if this pieces costs as much as some people have been hinting at. :monkey1

seeing as I can get the Weta version for $150, $2k for something only 7in taller is a no brainer pass, especally as an open ES. I thought the pf was supposed to be taller, I guess not.

That's the big problem with the new piece. The old one is superb and can be had for < 200 US. I wouldn't pay 2k for a piece twice that size because I just can't imagine anything being THAT excellent to justify the price.

where are you guys finding the 1/6 for less than 200? I've been looking for one recently
