Yeah he means that technology should have advanced to a stage where enhanced eyes look like normal ones. Like geordi la forge in star trek first contact onwards lol
Oh, in that case, no.

Tactical/Military equipment will always pack way more functionality than consumer products, so the design is justified.

Bravo, you guys are baiting hard.

It won't work though :D

He is?

Are you crows?

Saw this in 3D IMAX. I really, really liked it. As a think piece on the line between man and machine it's no Ex Machina but as a live-action redux of the 1995 animated film it was very entertaining. Looking forward to seeing this again so far it's my favorite film of 2017.

This is all I expect, how's the action and the gunfire scenes?

The visuals of the action were pretty specactular, especially in Large Format 3D. And there's a moment during the tank duel at the end that blew me away at how much it looked like I was watching actual live-action anime. Quite bloodless though. It would have been nice if it had R-level violence or hell even hard PG-13.

At least they didn't go full "G" (or whatever is less violent than G) like Nolan did with the TDK trilogy but this film clearly overlaps with The Matrix, Blade Runner, Total Recall, and Ex Machina, all of which were R to hard R.

Saw GITS last night and I really enjoyed it. I thought the SFX were amazing, reminded me of Blade Runner, and the action scenes were good.

The "shelling"and the Spider tank scenes felt like they were right out of the anime, with a few changes of course.

Looks like about 20 million for the weekend in the states, wondering about international numbers. Box office mojo doesn't have a listing for it yet. Just look at the money the Resident Evil and Underworld movies made in other countries. I think it will make it's money back.

The studios are not in it to break even though.

Why even bother going thru all the trouble and stress of making a huge movie if all you're going to do is break even.

They don't even want a small profit.

Nope, they want a profit the size of Ron Jeremy's johnson, not that I would know how big that is...cough...I heard stories...cough.

No way around it this movie is bombing. $18 million opening means it won't even come close to clearing $100 million domestic. Too bad because I found it much more interesting than Logan and Kong.
