when do tickets go on sale?

Hopefully at random like in years past. When they gave an exact date and time, it was a fiasco. When they just put them up and let us spread the word, that worked perfectly as not everyone going was on the site at the exact same time!

Sounds like with the member id program now you will have a place in line to buy a ticket. However that works, I am not sure but it does not seem like it will be random.

Definitely, I think that is why going back at least a 2nd time is a must. We were overwhelmed last year, in a good way but I think now this year we can do exactly what we want and have a lay of the land.

Now it is just waiting for the public tickets to go up and deal with that mess.

That's how I was the first year I went. Just so much going on that its a bit much the first time after that easy as pie.

As if it wasn't already going to be a bad experience ordering tickets online, the longer they wait, the worse it will be. Don't they know we need to book flights and hotels, etc.?

I use to love going to SDCC but this year I think my wife and I will skip. The older my wife and I get the more we hate the huge crowds. But we'll see how we feel.

okay....so I just looked up how much it would cost for me to go to SDCC....$1600 flight+hotel, $175 4 day pass, $300 food and drinks, $300 souvenirs and collectibles....so roughly $2375 for just me.....wow...wish I had the cash...

Padres are out of town that weekend but they do play Monday vs the Rangers....could do Fri-Mon, wonder what that price change would be....

I know...I was just trying to get a rough estimate....I'm def gonna go one year but this year it won't be in my cards...I'm gonna try and go in 2013 if the Mayans don't turn out to be right. The flight alone was close to $500. I envy you Californians.
