I think the end of the KOTCS was a tease-it looked like it was going to be a cheesy and predictable unsubtle "passing the Hat" to Mutt, then Indy swipes it from him at the last second. i.e. there's only ever going to be one Indy, and that's Harrison. That's how I took it, and I loved the moment for that: a clever joke and an appreciation of the man who made this role so his own.
Bring on Indy 5 I say. Harrison has aged with grace. Nobody tried to pretend he hadn't aged in KOTCS. What's wrong with getting older but still being cool?
I'm tired of the "rest home of doom" type jokes. It happens to us all. How many of us will be able to do our own stunts in our mid sixties? credit where it's due, and enjoy Indy 5 it for the triumph it is in this regard. I just loved seeing indy running around doing his stuff again.
