So I got my replacement piece today...
DEFECTS GALORE!!!

Remember how my last one had a toe that was chipped off and then painted over in the factory?

Well this one's toe looks like it was melted before being painted. Picture a melted hershey kiss for a toenail.

Now, that wouldn't be enough to make me upset.

What DID make me upset was that one of the teeth on the inner mouth is chipped and hanging by a strand. It is just about ready to fall right out of the mouth!

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Sideshow shipped it with NO SOFT FOAM SHEETS between the figure and the hard foam. That's right, they must've taken it out, given it a once over and then stuck it back in the hard foam without replacing the soft foam sheets. Of course this caused paint rubs on a variety of different parts on the statue.

:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead

I am sick and tired of going through this every time I want to enjoy a piece I spent a lot of money on. It's simply not worth the money if you have to go through this kind of hassle to get one with decent QC.

Thanks dude.

The positive is I just got a full set of Kiss premium formats, and they all came pretty much perfect! I was worried about getting a full set and the problems that could go along with it. I'm totally happy with them! I'm glad they came the same day.

so sorry to hear that dude - not cool at all :banghead

I know you have had problems in the past with other pieces of this high dollar amount. I really hope you can get this worked out.

Do you know what you are going to do now?
Refund? or try for another exchange?

to be honest I dont know what I would do - I think I be so annoyed at this point it would be hard to enjoy the piece.
On the same token, I can relate - when I got the CM Predator direct from Cinemaquette, it took me 3 times to get one without defects.
I would have just canceled completely if I didnt love the piece and character so much. Glad I kept him though.

I lucked out with the Cinemaquette. The first one I got was perfect.

They're going to send another one to my dealer. I'm hoping they REALLY look this one over before sending it out this time. However, I wonder if the tooth snapped because they didn't wrap the last one in the soft foam...? Who knows.

I really like this piece and I'm hoping the next one has no major problems, ie. nothing broken or missing. I'm not trying to be picky here. I just want one that isn't broken.

Man, I love Cinemaquette. I got the Predator from them last October and it was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. It's definitely my most prized collectible. I'd love to get an Alien and T-800 Endoskeleton some day.

SEND IT BACK, get a refund, and track it down somewhere else.

It sounds like the QC issues have ruined your fun.

Hang in there Oz. It'll get better. At least they have it in stock so its a matter of the waiting and hassle.

If you had bought this a year later from a boardie or ebayer and have this happen, you'd be SOL :monkey1
