Completely agree. I-III get an absurd amount of hate and there is some serious 1/6 potential there. I can admit they're not the best, but I think if they were the same movies but part of some other sci-fi franchise (not SW) they wouldn't get nearly as much flak. ROTS is one of my favorites.

The Clone Wars TV series is what saved the prequel era from being an utter disaster for me, plus it really fleshed out characters like Dooku and Grievous.

I think it's the opposite--the only reason they get a slight benefit of the doubt is because they are SW movies, and our prior knowledge of the larger universe and stories tend to fill in any deficiencies in our minds. If they were not SW related, they would have been slaughtered in the box office and there quite possibly would not have been Episodes 2 and 3.

I wish the sculpt looked like Ray Park. A missed opportunity on what could've been, aside from the missing cloak, the definitive Maul figure.

TCW definitely had some strong writing and story arcs, but I'm not sure it really made me like or care about the actual movies any more. Because no matter how much more interesting they may have made Anakin or Padme in the cartoon, ultimately they still revert back to the same dull and badly-written characters again in ROTS.

I don't get the price tag on this one at all! It's more expensive than some Hot Toys Figures, comes with a serious lack of accessories and a plan looking stand!

Still waiting for true in-hand photos (from our own here).

That said, unlikely I'll be suckered into this expensive Sideshow offering. HT will go hog-wild on PT figures in another two years time.

I think I might go for this one. Have a local seller that can give me a good discount for preordering. I have a feeling I'm going to finish my Sith/Dark Side display. Already have Palpatine/Sidious set, Dooku, Grievous, and DX Vader (replacing with RO Vader). I need Maul. Especially after how awesome he's been in The Clone Wars and Rebels series'. Getting this for about $215 with layaway payments might not be so bad.

This is the one and only prequel figure I'd be tempted to get, but right now there are too many other SW figures coming out in the next couple years (Rogue Vader, Jyn, Jedi and Ep 8 Luke, Bespin and TFA Han, Hoth Leia, etc) that are a much higher priority for me.

Who knows when HT will get to ESB and ROTJ. I haven't bought any SW figures yet, waiting on those two movies. Lando, Bespin Han, Endor Chewie, Jedi Luke, and Palpatine are what I want the most. I'm getting the Rogue One Vader since he has the glossy helmet.

Glad to hear this one's coming...looking forward to some in hand shots. I still like the original Sideshow take on him...

...but if the new one really brings it like the TIE Pilot and AT-AT Driver did, I'll go for it again...
