Yeah, this looks pretty good. This is gonna be my first Sideshow figure.

With so many companies making accessories for licensed figures these days, maybe his hooded robe will pop up soon.

Eyes definitely look intense. I like the subtle snarl. Paint on the horns looks good too.

Yeah, the eyes really do help sell this face, big time

Not to brag....but my new 4K camera for reviews should REALLY help make the details on his face pop. Stay tuned ;) lol (shameless self promotion)

Does the black on the face match the black on the neck? Maybe its just in that pic, the lighting.

Also, last question, are the pupils two-tone? They look orange where the proto had these great red and yellow two-tone Sith eyes.

Unless the lighting is making them look off, the eyes are incorrect. They're supposed to be ringed in red with the yellow center.

They are correct on the prototype though.

Guys chill LOL i am taking pictures with a camera phone with less than ideal lighting. Things aren't gonna look perfect lol. I would say that the black on the n eck and face are almost identical. As for the eyes....from what i can tell the eyes are orange with a VERY thin line of red going around the outside of the orange. Not nearly as much red as the prototype pictures show. There appears to be a VERY small amount of yellow towards the pupil but it's very difficult to tell and it might just be my own eyes playing tricks on me

What's funny is the far away pic looks more like Ray Park than The closeup. Weird. Looks great though.

I'm sure those pics will come, for me I like what I've seen, and he looks very possible too, looking forward to the review now

Yeah but the question is will he stand up next to a hot toys? It's why I sold the original Maul as he just looked horrendous!

Can't say,I only put one figure to a Detolf shelf so I will never have him displayed with another figure, all I know is that I like the look of this alot, and I'm happy with what I'm seeing, don't blame you for selling the old Maul,I never owned it,but I never liked the look of it anyway, this looks leaps and bounds better

How's the skin texturing in comparison to the proto or a hot toys? I can't really see any in that pic.

If you can't see it in the macro shot, then there isn't any.

The sculpt is, as always, softer than the proto. Eyes, tattoos, skin; nothing is as sharp as the proto. This happens with HT heads too. But he does look pretty good from afar.

What would really bother me is if I got one where the tattoos are not aligned with the demarcations in the sculpt. And I'd be afraid that Sideshow would deny replacement because it was "intentional".

Damn the eyes were a selling point for me. :gah: Hoping it looks better in hand, I wouldn't even call those Sith eyes. bummer..
I got my 2 week notice a couple days ago though.
