I'm tempted to try the headsculpt it looks a bit wide though. Right now I have a custom ht body and shaved medicom head on a 89 Batman neck. I'm debating on trying for the sculpt does anyone have medi sculpt and the new sideshow they can put side by side for me? ;)

Honestly, you're better off just buying the figure, discounts or no discounts. He IS the definitive Darth Maul, for Sith Lord fans. Just snag a Medicom cloak, or the older one, and you're good to go. A custom one might be a cheaper alternative, but likely not as good.

He only has one major issue. Well, technically two. His joints... why are they so loose? He wouldn't be able to hold really heavy weapons, I'm guessing. This leads into his second flaw. His foot articulation. While it's a nice touch what they've done... it's made almost pointless in the end. The connected strip should be slightly more pliable. Better yet, the body just needed strong ratchet joints!

Some people have gotten their figure with imperfections in the black paint around the neck, but any acrylic model paint (non-gloss) can hide that.

As much as I love some of the other figures in my collection, this one is hands down my favorite looking now. He looks like a mini premium format for ****s sake. The price is scary, but compared to the recent Vader rehash, I think it's a bit more bearable.

Damn, I boxed mine up this morning and put him in the back of the top of my closet again, lol. I might dig it back out after work, if someone doesn't oblige your request beforehand.

Are you wanting it for like a quality judgement? Size comparison? The old one has longer arms, but is roughly the same size, almost entirely. The quality difference is night and day. Especially the lightsabers.

If someone has the side by side comparison of the old sideshow head and the new I'd like to see of the are the same size that way because known the medicom and older sideshow I can compare myself. The link about doesn't work.

Here is the head comparison. Few pages back. It's labeled MEDICOM but it's actually the original sideshow release.
Thank you sadly they are Not The same size and yes new sculpt looks way better looks skinnier more in scale now to see a new sculpt next to medicom? Any takers?

I really wanted to buy this figure, but I just can't get past the paint work on the head, especially the side of the head where the seams show :(

Well, he looks good. I have a lot of reward points now but not sure I need a new Maul even if he is this good. The seams do bother me in those close ups but in any posed shot so far, they have not been noticeable.

First SSC figure I have even contemplated since Jango. I think I will hold out a little while and see if he goes no sale (which he will based on the interest in SSC offerings lately).

This is what I'm holding out for too. $200 + free shipping and it's a deal.
