Do you guys think Hot Toys will ever expand their Star Wars line? Would rather buy their stuff...

The word is that Anakin Skywalker is next and then after that Han Solo. However, it's been a pretty long time since we've had a Star Wars figure announcement from Hot Toys

I'm fairly certian we're getting 10 sets of hands, in gesture poses.

ESP considering that these are sculpted in mudbox, or zbrush now, and it's just a simple matter of hitting the "mirror" button to flip it the other way.

If you look at the product specs it says "Ten (10) Gloved hands for various gestures"

shows 8 of them and that hand isn't shown so were not getting 10 sets were only getting 10 hands and almost all of them are rights.

Eventualy yes. they already told us their next 10 years of releases.

Anakin is next, followed by Han solo after anakin is released, followed by Padme after han solo is released.

if luke is anything to go by, 3 years per figure, so basicly 10 years.

So basically we'll all be dead by the time they do their Vader.

Does make for a movie accurate figure doesn't it, for those that would like to create that scene, personally I'd prefer to pay $50 less and not have the head sculpt as I'd never want to portray Vader at his weakest moment

Vader at his weakest moment..... or his STRONGEST?

"You were right, Luke. Tell your sister... you were right..."

(But yeah, I only plan on showing the Anakin headsculpt when friends visit and check out my displays. Otherwise, it's mask-on for me...)

Have answered a couple of pages back..but IMO he was at his strongest mentally and physically when he flipped sides and threw old palps off the edge ( well that was before old Georgia boy put a great big nnnnooooooo in there... But yeah helmeted version for me on display

[QUOTEBEST figure, is medicom body and head, and boots, with sideshow clothing, belt and sabers.[/QUOTE]

This i agree... But buying two figures typically is a waste so considering all parameters headsculpt takes precedence hence medicom. Since headsculpt is slimmer the lean look gets better with the clothing. I am a perfectionist but welcome improvisations, what i dont like is imperfections that let go off great stuff from actual material. Confusing eh?

As far as vader pants, the reason for my concern is that if the prototype has a crumpled jammy ... Rarely it gets better. Again i bought it but am quite sure that ss and hot toys rarely... Rarely get better than prototype. There are cases but far and few.

This will give you an idea... Both are side by side also see comments below on you tube... I never bought any and chose my decision based on a lot of research and finally settled for medicom. I do like the sabre in sideshow ... Its sleek and sharp... But like i said headsculpt is where most of the money is spent by artists and i would not want to compromise on it. Medicome headsculpt is with great color and fierce eyes.

You just made my point more so, like i said the medicom version is newer if SS did a new version it would be way better.
The medicom version does have a nice robe though.

You perhaps.
Some men strive to achieve immortality through greatness.
I've decided to achieve greatness through immortality.

you know... he added not one, but two "no's" to that scene.

As he looks back and forth, from palpatine, to luke getting shocked... as he does that final, slow turn, there is a quiet, semi-gutteral, allmost whispered "No..." and it sent a chill down my spine. it was PERFECT. the scene was amazing.....

and then he lifts palatine over his head.. and screams NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

and I just about pissed myself laughing.

perfect scene... ruined.

I'm sure once Ep VII comes out that HT will be pumping out the Star Wars figures... at least I hope they do. But I'd still prefer them to concentrate on the non-armored characters and leave guys like Vader to SS.
