I'm sure batteries would die too fast at a really long con like San Diego. They probably have it hooked up to a plug that's making the lights flicker too fast. Batteries might not do that.

Starting about six minutes in you can see Vader with what looks like a different helmet and also see him being posed and played with like in the Grievous video, the chest lights seem less blinky.

Yes, however, the helmet seems way too small for the scale...like it was refitted to fit a small dude - at least, to me

I didn't see a huge problem with the smaller bucket but this looks worlds better. Wonder which one he will actually ship with.

From what I understood of the video, the one he's displayed with there is the one he'll ship with. Vader did look a lot better and I liked how they slowed down the blinking with the chest lights (belt boxes looked great, too). The commentator mentioned that Sideshow will be updating the picture gallery for Vader soon, so I'm looking forward to that (also said display stand for helmet will light-up, which is kinda cool). Would very much like to PO if they've fixed the issues with the helmet.

Even if they fix the dome, it bothers me that the mouth grill is totally vertical when it should be at most roughly a 45 degree angle to the jawline.

But why do companies like koto, which less expensive depictions of vader, have better sculpts of vader than a company that has a lot of prop sculptors like ss?

C'mon, Sideshow! Step it up! If koto can make a decent looking vader helmet, so can you!!

He looks better in those videos, as he's being moved and crosses over someone's arm you get a bit of a view of the dome straight on.
