I only want to know if it's possible to use a HT knock off body for vader and just add some height to his legs. Im sure i will have to shorten suit and cape but what do you guys think is it possible to do a costume swap?

Just to add to what the others have said, its not easy finding another body alternative for Vader. A lot of people like the KP02 body and have switched their ANH version that. While I think everyones KP Vader looks great I tried the switch and didn't like it in hand. If you go through the ANH Vader thread you'll find numerous discussions about different bodies, who has tried what, what doesn't work etc. You'd think there'd be more options but really there seems to be mainly two: modify the SSC body or nab yourself a KP02.
Is there a way to make him taller? I heard he's only 1/4" too tall and I'm afraid that won't be enough for a truly horrible picture.

:lol:lol:lol

That's not a clear shot. You might as well show the shot where Vader is standing on the bridge in the distant background and say he's knee-high to the guards standing in the foreground. Wow, this is like perspective school from the middle ages. Get a grip, some of us have had the films in 1080p for years and can grab screens at will any time (twice on Sunday if w'ere not out with the family). I've seen the movies more times than I can even remember, and scanned through the first two at least 3 times this week alone. That's a poor example - it doesn't show anything. Period.

See, most everyone else knows how to divide 202 (or 205 if you'd prefer) cm by 6 to find out the height the figure should be according to Vader's "official" height. The point however is that Sideshow has been making figures at a specific scale and it's kind of a PITA, when they release a new one that doesn't fit.

It's already established this figure is tall, what I really want to figure out is how to remedy the situation for posing next to other SSC and DX07.

It seems this is the same dance with every release from SSC and Hot Toys. It goes like this: Before it's released, "this thing is awful, totally wrong, this and that is off" and then when it's released "oh my gawd, this thing is amazing, it's perfect" from a lot of people and from some still the "it's crap". I'm of the middle ground however. It's good, but there are a few issues. We can live with them. But those that can be fixed or addressed, might as well be.

I'm sorry but this shot is extremely relevant. It's perhaps the most important shot of all as its the shot that establishes Vader. If they chose shorter actors for the troopers it's because they want Vader's first impression to be a towering menace.

I don't appreciate your snide comments to the fact that you are some sort of superior star wars expert either. You know nothing about me or my knowledge on this subject.

The last 10 pages full of height talk. Where all the pics at peeps? Keep 'em coming. :D

I'll repost these till I can take new ones, or someone else posts pics.

Finally opened Vader tonight after getting him yesterday and I am blown away by the figure. To me, at least, he is what I want Vader to be (especially next to other figures)--dark, massive, and intimidating looking. The detail is amazing on the HS and the suit/cape look great. I love the light-up function on the suit and was surprised to see the red lights flashing, which is a nice touch. Plus, he comes with a ton of stuff--the base is hefty with great red lighting AND batteries (woo-hoo!), the mask and dome display, lit and unlit lightsabers, and a bunch of hands. I wish Hot Toys would follow Sideshow's example and include a peg with each hand. It's a little thing but makes a difference to me.

Haven't taken any pictures yet but I am VERY happy that I got this figure. We'll worth the money to me.
