There's no real display options for a ROTS vader not like I want to pose him in the NNOOOOOOOO! pose anyway. I'd probably get it to go with my 1:1 though

He does look like someone just ran that old "gray poupon" joke on him.

Pretty much. I thought it was a good all around Vader. Eyebrows don't make sense on a burnt head, and Vader wasn't always sad, defeated guy under the mask. It is more of a "I'm still a bad mofo" Vader. I thought of is as what Vader would have looked like while brooding in his pod on the Star Destroyer before his dome came down. Anakin/Vader is an angry guy.

This is more how I saw him - sort of Heath Ledger in space.

Has SS broken the $200 barrier with their SW figures yet?

The old Vader was $129.99, right?

So this one shouldn't be more than $179.99 give or take.

Yeah but I think the guys here are thinking HT prices and we haven't got there yet. Grievous, yes, well over $200... but a 2nd issue Vader?

Yeah - this figure is, for the most part, simply a re-issue... without throwing in some major new goodies, how could it jump $100 over the previous release?

But then the last three years have gone completely crazy with prices... maybe SSC looks at HT Indy or Joker and says "they get it on those characters, why can't we?"

If that's the case then YES, the price would be much higher and I'm all for it! I want lights!

But if this is $229 with just the added reveal helmet and no electronics, then it totally is a "look what HT gets" kind of thing.

Fans wanting a 1/6 Vader can either pay $220+ for this new release or pay the insane numbers the old ANH release has been fetching (at least until today.)

I seem to recall SSC acknowledging the after-market price jump on the first release, so no one needs to tell them the landscape they are releasing the new figure into.

I'm betting 180 -220 on this a easy 2 bills if we get 2 head sculpts ...Either way I'M so happy we finaly got news...When i asked if we would see at comic con or this year on fb and they said STAY TUNED to our feed...I was still YEA RIGHT!!! SO glad they revealed been waiting and bugging sideshow staff ALL YEAR........HA HA cant wait for my FAVORITE VILLIAN TO be finaly MINE..........
