Had only two snow troopers and that web cannon, but sold those off. Honestly wasnt too impressed by the snowtrooper. I'm trying hard to cut down, some things though its hard to give up.

I could forgive the snowie helmets once modified, but the wrist armour was distractingly off. Still think they display exceptionally well even though I sold mine.

I did think the Snowies were one of the better SS troopers. But I imagine when HT gets around to it, theirs will look much more scaled and lifelike.

Hoping maybe I can keep the SS snowtrooper and get a 2nd in HT form... but its likely they won't mix well.

Probably; although the snowie benefitted from a body swap. I really don't like the SSC bodies.

They did some pretty serious advance release promotion with the Hoth figures (tons of blogs got the figures early), but nothing so far for this, which ships in a week.

The hoth stuff got torn to shreds during that promo period because of some very unflattering pictures. In the end hoth figures were not flawless but were mostly pretty solid I thought, especially if you were willing to do a little extra work. Wonder if that is why they are playing this one close to the vest?

That crossed my mind, for sure. I would think this figure would be more immune to that given the lack of human head sculpt, but who knows. They really gave those Hoth figures out a bit indiscriminately. Some of the worst photos ever on some of those sites--noticed earlier that the Luke Hoth figure finally just went back on waitlist after all this time.

I'm still waiting to see how the scout and bike turn out before I order. I'd also like to see the shipping be moved to flat rate on the scout.

Wasn't a video posted showing a guy playing with the production figure and how the Speeder Bike can be disassembled? The Scout looked pretty solid to me.

Yes there was. Both the scout and the bike looked great in that video, but some new pictures wouldn't hurt.

Do we know that was in fact a production piece that we're actually getting? And not a one-off the line to impress Sideshow executives?

That said, Sideshow has had an impressive track record with troopers so I'll trust its going to be good if and when I have to get charged before seeing anything. I just hope the weathering is good. Not much else to it.

The only thing I've read about that is this post in this thread:

It wasn't I was there.

The bike was the production piece, the scout himself was the prototype. I am sure that there will be little difference between the production and promo. It's not a hard character to get down.

Although it seems weird that the bike was production and the scout a prototype when the scout is being released first.
